I am an alum of Berklee from late 70's/early 80's. This garbagey playing would not have been smiled at by teachers back then. Yelling at crappy players, kicking their ass, was part of the schooling back then.
@@jaykerouac2 Eric, as world renowned expert and accomplished saxophonist, should have held back or even declined a solo improv, lest for fear the tenor beginner might be discouraged and perhaps gave up. Eric is as great an instructor as he is a sax expert; I have learnt so much from him, both as a person and saxophonist. Maybe, like a youthful Charles "Yardbird" Parker, Corey will return as the new John Coltrane or Michael Brecker, reincarnated (smile)
