This soap opera is called "Family ties". I watch it right now on one of Russian tv channels and decided to find its lyrics. First time I saw it twenty or more years ago also on Russian tv. I loved all the stories of that Brazilian telenovela so much. I remember I was swimming in the pool at summer and women around me were discussing the blood cancer of Camila and guessing whether she will survive or die. This song reminds me always of those wonderful days of my youth , even though the story of Camila, her mother and Edu was dramatic triangle, but with happy ending for almost everyone in that telenovela.

Absolutely love Lara but this is the one track I struggle with. It I'd beautifully written and constructed but the tune itself just never raises itself to another level. I shall keep trying Dean but must have played it 20 times and still not feeling a musical hook, it just seems to plod along.
