Interesting thing. I have 0 knowledge about geo-nodes and not sure that it's related to my problem, but anyways I don't know better place to ask. I need to re-arrange the indices of all my faces from top to bottom like on 8:35 but without spheres. For now, all they randomly sorted across the model and i want to make them more structured. Following this tutorial I can reach this effect with spheres but indices stay the same. I think I'm missing something, like "apply new indices order" button. Thank you for help :)

How do i set it so that it goes from bottom top but in a clock-wise or anticlockwise direction? For any object I mean, I know for spherical objects it would go anti clockwise or clockwise but for cubes it doesnt behave that way.

You have any ideas about what to plug into sort weight besides random and position?
Oooh... Just had an epiphany. If you want the index in a VERY specific order, you can use a named attribute, then sort by the named attribute. Been racking my brain on this one for days... I ask the question and instantly answer it myself. -_-

could you go over how group id works vs just using random boolean in selection? There are some other nodes with group id it just hasnt clicked for me yet where group id is coming from.

I think there might be a chance that Hans added this node because I kept poking him about breaking my 18,000 node model that was entirely dependent on using Index. 😅
