For years, while living in Johnson City, Barbara and I would motorcycle to the grocery in Erwin, buy carrots, go feed them to the horses standing under the McDonald's billboard next to the interstate in front of the radio station. Memories of our time together which will carry me to heaven
Too bad nothing of interest came up there when we were looking for a house. We're enjoying Johnson City though. Moved here from Conn. recently and we're loving TN.

Unicoi county is among the most beautiful in Tennessee if indeed perhaps the "most beautiful"!!!

My grandfather Charles Bergendahl had a brother whose name was Oscar who lived in Erwin, Tennessee.

They come up for sale now and then but they usually go fast..
My dad was born their in 1921.
My original hometown.. I came back from Southern California in '88 for 7th grade until I graduated HS in '94.. Still have a lot of family there...
