How to use a Manduca with a newborn baby

Front carry with a new baby. *Please note* It is advised on the Manduca instructions to use the carrier with zip undone when in newborn position. For purpose of this video and the infant being small we have not done this. Always follow the manufacturers carrier instructions, if in doubt seek professional advise.

Thank u for this video! I learned how to use a second hand manduca carrier I purchased from sa friend w/o manuals. But my baby cries whenever I put her in and I'm confused if she doesn't like the position or her feet aren't comfortable. It's what concerns me a lot. But I recently noticed she doesn't like being held that way though, before I had the carrier.
Can you tell me what should be the position of her feet? My daughter is almost a month old now. Thank you for your reply.

I know this is from 5 years ago. I noticed the legs of the baby were inside the carrier . I was wondering if it didn't look a bit squished?

Thanks for your comment Alberta, congratulations on our pregnancy. As a personal preference i prefer stretchy wraps and rind slings for new babies, However if your are looking for a newborn carrier, you can't go wrong with the Manduca. Be sure to read all the instructions of any carrier you purchase and ensure you are using them correctly. Alternatively seek our a babywearing educator to advise correct usage.
