Hello JoJo Lewis ! Nightwish fan here, your musical quest summoned me.
Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing at Wacken Open Air in 2013, together with Floor Jansen, the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of an 82K+ audience.
About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners.
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland.
Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [The 1st Bassist of the band was Sami Vanska, he was with them until 2001. The 2nd one was Marco Hietala, as Bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least - we'll see what the future brings to us. Then very recently (May 2021) Jukka Koskinen became the 3nd Bassist of the band, for at least the Human :II: Nature tour] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition.
Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her.
There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps.

Originally Floor was sent by Allfather Odhinn to Midgard to gather the souls of fallen warriors to Valhalla, but she
got distracted and joined a series of bands. However, Floor still gathers souls by her grace, beauty and the sheer power
of her vocals.

I’ve probably seen this a hundred times and I still get goose bumps (floorgasms) when she starts singing.
Welcome to the Nightwish Army - you're among friends, and you're about to embark on a fantastic journey. Every musician in this outfit is world-class. And you haven't heard all of them. Tuomas Holopainen is arguably the best composer of this era. Some call him the Metal Mozart, but he is beyond that - you can hear the influences of Sibelius, Nielsen, Karl Orff and Ralph Vaughn Williams in his work. Tuomas is above all else a poet. He is a very learned man and he has a fierce thirst for acquiring comprehension.
Both Tuomas and Floor have said that they are "high sensitives". I believe that they are in fact empaths, and that is not an easy existence for anyone so cursed and blessed. You feel the best and the worst of everything from everyone unless you develop a strong enough filter to allow you to survive day to day. This is one of the things that make Tuomas' compositions so hard-hitting, so epic. Tuomas feels so deeply of the things of this world, and this world has not always been kind to him. His genius and his art is that he can share his experiences with us.
Now Floor - Floor is a world-class, high function, full duplex empath - in other words, she sends AND receives. THAT's how she sings her self, her heart and her soul right into ours, and she does it whether it's a live performance or not. This is her super power. The audience is hers every time she performs. If she does not make you cry, if she does not give you chills and goosebumps, then you have no soul. Floor and Nightwish light you up in the best possible way. Few others do, and it's obvious.

I do multiple Nightwish reaction searches daily and this one never appeared in the results for some reason. Your Dark Chest of Wonders came up on my feed just a few minutes ago so I checked out your channel and this came up. Bravo sir, you got it immediately, Nightwish is a lifechanging experience. You have just scratched the surface of their talent. The overall genre is symphonic metal but it incorporates everything from folk rock to heavy metal. Romanticide next followed by Storytime and Ever Dream and Song of Myself and, and, and. All their songs are different and all are Nightwish. Floor Jansen (Yahnsen) can sing anything from Growls to Pop to Jazz to Rock to Opera and everything inbetween. There is a deep rabbit hole for Nightwish and another for Floor starting with the Phantom of the Opera and Shallow from the 2019 Beste Zangers TV show in the Netherlands. I believe Floor just joined the band like a few weeks/months before this performance. Their previous lead singer Annette left the band in the middle of their tour and Floor was brought in. For the first concert of Nightwish Floor had to learn the lyrics of the whole concert in 48 hours. There is a documentary on CZcams about this. Really impressive singer. She makes me proud of being Dutch too. Love this performance of Ghost Love Score at Wacken 2013. Just like you I just discovered it! 😊

You my friend, are only 1 of thousands with first time reactions of Goosebumps and some leakage from your eyes. We lovingly refer to Floor's expertise at generating physical reactions as a "Floorgasm". Literally a type of sensation creating a skin orgasm as well as shedding a few tears. No sexual connotations. Hello JoJo Lewis, you just heard Floor Jansen (pronounce Yahn-Sen) Nightwish’ Viking Queen and Valkyrie.
Although the band is Finnish their 3rd female vocalist isn’t, she is Dutch. Floor was born on Februari 21st, 1981 in Goirle the Netherlands. At the age of 16 she started her career as (initially) just as background singer from the Dutch metal band ‘After Forever’ in 1997 but real soon she took over the lead until early 2009 and the band fell apart. Parallel she studied at the Dutch Rock Academy in Tilburg starting in 1999 where she graduated in 2003 and spent two years on classical training with the National Conservatory. She studied Musical Theatre and one year Opera. She plays guitar, piano and flute and has completed 12 years of music studies. She’s a Light Lyric Soprano and her vocalrange runs from E3 to D6. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons.
On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ‘ReVamp’, which was disbanded in September 2016. In August 2010 Jansen was a guest in the TV program De tiende van Tijl. In that program she sang an aria by Puccini. From October 1, 2012 (while she was within ReVamp, but recovering from a burnout) Floor replaced Anette Olzon as the singer of Nightwish halfway their Imaginaerum World Tour. After one year, on October 9th 2013, it was announced that she was to become the group's regular new front singer.

And wait till you know enough about their whereabouts before watching “The Poet and the Pendulum” (in my opinion Tuomas’ greatest song, but you need to know the background story to understand at least half of it)

I really enjoyed your reaction JoJo. Likewise, I experienced goosebumps, chills, and hair standing on end. I also shed tears, while in just a state of awe.
This was the song and moment that basically cemented her place in the hearts of all Nightwish-fans. Before than, many fans were unsure how the band would progress haver having lost two singers.
The first singer was Tarja Turunen, herself quite capable (you've seen her already perform Phantom of the Opera), but they split after personal matters got ... bad... really bad...
After that came Anette Olzon, for asically just one album and then they parted ways. And while Anette was good, she just couldn't compete with Tarja. So many people were at least wary of how Floor would fare. But after this performance, there was no more doubt that she was indeed perfect.

This is song 13 of 15 in front of 82,000 crowd most of whom are listening to Floor Jansen for the first time with Nightwish. She joined them mid tour in the USA in late 2012 to replace previous singer. She nails every song all written for two previous singers after only 10 months in fact she'd pretty much nailed them all within weeks. This was one of their first big concerts back in Europe.
JoJo, sir, this was song number 13 on this day. They put in this song, so I suspect, to give the audience and themselves a short breather. In Buones Aires they used it to fetch water for the security and the fans in front of Tuomas (keyboarder) as it was hot and humid. You, sir, stay safe and healthy in Down Under. German greetings.

It’s quite common for Floor to give one goosebumps and bring you to tears. You’re right, you haven’t heard a singer like this. And there’s more to discover. Nightwish makes many of us happy. There were over 80,000 at this show who all felt that way. We all wish we’d been there. This was song 13 of 15. The whole show was incredible, and the audience was fully engaged throughout. Read up on Gabriel’s comments. This band will continue to surprise and not disappoint. Storytime or Ever Dream from this show next.

Something you might not realize, my man. Wacken is a metal festival. And we have a full audience of full on metalheads raising their hands and lighters to a movie score type instrumental bit. This is a "angry pack of wolves going from full attack mode with raised hair on their backs and teeth on full display to playfully rolling on their backs asking for pats" calming of the beast situation.
