  • Today I am talking about books that should actually change your life, if you are willing to let them. I am not talking about the nonsense that is largely self-help books(Not all though, of course) but about those which are actually grounded in morals with an eternal perspective.
Please feel free to let me know and everyone else if there is an egregious omission or if there is one I do mention that you are particularly fond of!

This List was superb. I appreciate references to both the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon, as they are the two books that had had the biggest impact on my life. From the more secular world, no book written by man has made me ponder the world more than Moby Dick.

Those two books have been the biggest in my life as well! I've heard many great things about Moby Dick but I've never read it myself! I'll have to remedy that this year. Thanks for the comment

One book that is worth mentioning is "A Study in Scarlet". Sherlock Holmes is a powerfully influential character. He has furthered the field of detection in real life, as expected by a great observer and thinker. Though not as much as he is a scientist, he is a philosopher. The way he explains his reasoning for his philosophical views are quite extraordinary. I have seldom experienced greater words from any other fictional character or real person. Will be checking out some of these other books. You've got me interested.

I, unfortunately, have hardly read any of the works about Sherlock Holmes despite how well-known he is. Thank you for the recommendation, I will have to add it to my list!

Thanks. This was enjoyable to watch. There are a few on here that I was unfamiliar with.

Thank you for this video. I have been searching for booktuber content and it has been unfortunate that I have had to sift out so much chaff.
Too many have been pushing recent books with an obvious progressive and immoral agenda. Publishers send booktubers their books for free and reviews become biased propaganda.
I see that your channel content is varied and explores visual arts as well. I could use an education in that area.
While having historical and theological disputes with the Book of Mormon, I can overlook that in light of our numerous points of overlapped interest. New subscriber.

Please find out how to pronounce Maugham's name as if you knew something about him...

I've never heard his name pronounced. But I suppose I could've looked it up. Looks like it MAWM essentially?
