From what I'm seeing plus me using royal recruits/2 months, they need a small buff cuz they drop like flies so fast and the opponent has an executioner, you have no chance of winning, plus they can't deal with much head on and you need to drop them on the ranged unit, that's why I use an ice golem to tank the melee unit they dropped and then i royal recruits, and also the void spell is a must with them as it can cover there up there weaknesses, but the void spell is so slow that it's basically needs a radius reduction, a speed buff and a single target damage nerf cuz there's no good use for the void and you can replace it with anything, basically the recruits are stuck in a weak state but the Evo version is better, so idk if a small hp or speed buff would do well or no
