    if you still have the footage I think the ZX4 community could benefit from an edit comparing stock vs modified 60-100, 100-140 times, etc. Every bit of data helps people make decisions on their bikes! Great video quality man, keep it up.

    I am at this point debating to even get the unlock. I installed the M4 full system and it sounds and rides amazing. It goes up quick to 100 mph, I really don't need more than that on public roads anyway. Like you mentioned, leave the crazy top speed for bigger bikes ...

    @rudedog3529 Před 11 měsíci +4

    My last run was 135 mph, in 90 deg weather and 2000' altitude.
    Was best to stretch out 5th as bike would slow down when I shifted to 6th gear at 135 mph. The weather may be down to low 70's , tomorrow, so may have another go at it.
    Would like to crack 140.

      Fastest I’ve seen these bikes go is 143. And it struggled to get there. That’s after a tune, full exhaust, air filter, no velocity stacks that I’ve seen yet. Now, 143 works for me lol, I don’t need to go any faster.

      I should think so! Disappointing that this model needs an ECU flash just to reach 140... the 90s model did 140, and it was only making 64bhp and redlined at 13,000. 30 years advancements in engines should mean this bike shouldn't have to rev to 16,000 and apparently make more power, just to reach the same speed.

      I know this is older comment so not calling you out. Just an update on the velocity stacks (which I did on my 2021 Ninja 400 and saw improvement). Vcyclenut and 2wheeldynoworks both did really good vids on the ZX4RR with stacks and did not see improvements. In some parts of the powerband, they lost power. Again, just fyi.

    Yes we want to see that! I think the R8 will win, especially if you dont put an exhaust on the 4rr. I have the same tune but with a full Akro and so far top speed is 140. Good luck and be safe!

    I think redline on stock gears is 157 mph or so in sixth. On a Japanese video on an oval I think the dude clipped 154 but even tuned the power tapers just before redline. A slip on and 3-4 more hp with a flat road and you could probably touch that if you can hug the bike enough. My hope is we get aftermarket support for more engine components. A slightly tweaked cam profile with an induction system tuned for top end power and you could get a little more rev range and peak power out of it. If the pistons and connecting rods are up to the task you could build this to rev over 17k easily with power building to the very top.

    Are you considering your next bike? It’s a great bike but I think lots of people are moving on from it quicker than usual because there’s just so many great alternatives. Nothjng wrong with this it’s just a hot market. Bikes with same power but torque from the jump. Bikes with a similar power curve but more. And all at same price range or less (CBR650R at about 94 Hp or whatever it is is a suuuuper sweet and under appreciated bikes)

      If you think as a complete beginner that you have the skill to ride a 600 supersport, you might end up on life support. I am not joking and completely serious. Do not even think of starting on a bike with more than around 80 horsepower. I'd recommend starting on something with around 50 hp. A 50hp sport bike can do 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 secs and tops around 120 mph. Way more than enough for a beginner and not too much for you to learn riding properly. You don't start on a powerful bike, you level up to it. Don't risk your life or incapacitate yourself early, you got a whole life ahead. Don't listen to dealerships, they want you to get a bigger, expensive bike so they make sales. Make your decision before you get into the dealership. Since you're looking for a sport bike, cf moto 450 ss in an amazing bike even experienced riders love. Also invest in good gear, jacket, gloves, boots.

    • @MOTOSWITHDAK
      @MOTOSWITHDAK  Před rokem +3

      If you were to do that, you’d need to tune it immediately to feel like it’s an upgrade in terms of power(assuming you live in the US). In every other aspect the bike will feel like an upgrade but since the US version comes detuned from the factory you’d only be gaining a little bit of power(about 15hp) Where as with the tune you’d be looking at a double the power to the wheels 71ish compared to 36hp.

      same here in the Philippines, 77hp or up to 80hp with ram air effect. But for some reason the stock sprocket combination of the Zx4-RRs here is different compared to the rest of the world, which I have no idea why. But we're seeing people doing over 230kph-250kph+
