@@deadbyflatus l don't think you're any expert. Elize is a fantastic singer. Sure, Fabi did great but Elize was holding back because that's the kind of person she is. She wanted Fabi to shine. Don't forget she invited Fabi on stage. It's retarded to think there is any competition between them. There isn't. Women singers in the metal community all support each other. There are no rivalries. Even amongst the Nightwish singers, Tarja and Floor are good friends. The competition only exists in the minds of people like you. Elize was voted best singer in Sweden, in case you forgot.
I love it how Fabienne came out of nowhere, then achieved success since Chrigel brought her into Eluveitie after Anna quit, and now she's mixing it up with the top European singers like Sharon, Simone, and Elize who recognize her as an upcoming peer. I'd love to see her do something with Tarja and Floor.
@@Closminding Do you really think she holds a grudge? I doubt it. Anna is better than that. She quit but she didn't have to. Plus Anna is fine with Michelina, the hurdy gurdy player, who interviewed Anna. (See video on CZcams) and Michalina and Fabi are best friends.
@@powskier Have you listened to Anna talking about the acrimonious split with Eluvettie??? And the hurt suffered. No she didn't have to leave but it was because of the way they kicked out the drummer (who is brilliant btw), that she left and formed her new band together with the ex Eluvettie guitarist (who is also brilliant). It is a sad and a silly (unecessary) loss for Eluvettie, they are a lesser band for losing Anna and there is no love lost between them now. For Anna it turned out to be a very smart move indeed.

I have all the old Eluveitie albums which I still listen to, but the new Ategnatos album is by far my favorite. Just brilliant. I can't stop listening to it. I never get that feeling when I listen to Cellar Darling. Anna is a good singer but she isn't the composer Chrigel is.

I don't think the stuff they've produced with Fabia comes any where near that quality - either musically or visually. I get a thrill from hearing and watching Anna in her new band. Her writing ability is second to none, her hurdy gurdy playing unsurpassed and she's one of the top Metal Front vocalists in the world with such a distinctive, instantly recognisable sound, with two band mates of the highest technical quality. Eluvetie made a massive error when they provoked Anna into leaving them - but they done her a favour.
No, it's just that those high note belts from Fabienne are out of this world. Been listening to Eluveitie for a while and still go WTF. Doesn't mean the dark tones of Lyz are worse...
