      You can rotate the inner part any way you want on the inside. I have this tent and just finished 4 nights of camping in it. It works awesome but the inner basically has enough for your sleeping pad and bag. It also was super windy and had 1 night of snow and it held up no problem. Mine was standing while others were folding up and blowing away.

    Could be a very handy piece of kit. For winter camping you don’t use the inner. And for summer you could do the same or even just use the inner mesh under a tarp, lots of possibilities. They key is if it’s waterproof. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.

    I seen that tent and was wondering about it... glad your gonna test it for me 🤣 I have 2 gonex tents, one exactly like the one you used before and a 4 person 3 season dome. I absolutely love my dome I put it thru hell during the fall and it performed great. I didn't pay more that $100 on either one of them so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that the hot tent works as well

    Looks decent for a 1 man I suppose you would not need the inner for winter like you said so for me it would be ok .stove jack don't cost much so not worried about there not being one Definitely would make sure carbon monoxide detector was up to scratch.think it's on the borderline of small for some stoves I think a fire retardant drop may come in handy .recon I may wait till you put your stove in it before I invest in one though .thanks bro . Just ordered one of these to try, I like the idea you can use it as a hot tent in cold weather and in spring summer etc you can use the inner tent with it's bug net.
    I'm off camping in a couple of days and I'm going to give it a good go, probably take my Jack Wolfskin along just incase.
    It will be interesting to see if you could hang the inner from a ridgeline and use as a mozzi net in summer.

    It dont seem like the worst tent in the world Dan but i totally get where your coming from with inner mesh not fitting as good, and the fact it would be so close to the stove if it was used with the inner mesh. i have the newer version of the two man onetigris ironwall hot tent and i find its the best set up for myself for a solo hot tent camp. ive even used my pomoly stove with the inner mesh in and its perfect with the spacing not too close to the mesh and plenty of space inside the inner compartment,. but good honest video pal keep them coming👍

  • @PhilCherry3
    @PhilCherry3 Před 2 lety +3

    It seems possible to extend a line from the center pole to the backside stake. Then add a Prusik loop to this line; afterwhich one could suspend the inner from a new point using the Prusik. This would allow the user to move the inner farther back toward the rear which in turn would cut down on the amount of empty space behind the inner. Might that not work? Also, it seems possible to rotate the inner to place it further away from the hot stove when using the tent in those late fall/early winter situations.

    I just bought a different Gonex tent and it was hilarious.
    It was like some Chinese factory boss said "see that pro tent for £300? Make one like that for £50!"
    They are cheap and cheerful solutions to £300 problems.
    There are issues with fit-and-finish, and I really wish the fly would come down 2 inches lower to the ground to stop wind snaking up inside the tent, but overall I got a good quality budget imitation of a premium tent that I could not afford .... so I and I'm very happy.
    There will no doubt be something that is a bit janky, or slight misalignment with "something", but thus far my Gonex tent was a means to pay very little money to have a tent that ticked certain boxes.
    Its worth noting that sadly, sometimes when you pay top dollar for a "premium" tent, you might end up getting a rebranded tent from a random factory in China. Similarly, you might spend hundreds on a tent and end up having an accident that leaves it destroyed. Personally i would rather go with a tent like this. It does the job, its a decent price, and if it gets wrecked, I can afford to shrug it off and replace it.
    Thanks for the video.
