Here's a list of questions answered in this video:
- Can you light an LED with graphite lead and a battery?
- Can you light an LED with a large temperature difference between boiling hot water and dry ice?
- Can you use oranges to light an LED?
- Can you use glycerin's viscosity to prevent dye from mixing?
- Can a heat gun erase the ink of a thermochromic pen?
- Can burning two matches bond them together and cause one to lift?
- Can you bring back erased thermochromic pen ink using dry ice?
- Can you make slime with glycerin, baking soda, and contact solution?
- Will a ping pong ball floating in syrup shoot up into the air when dropped? - Věda a technologie
Love the "none are fake" and "multiple are fake" options. So Useful!!!!
Can Oranges power an LED?
@@LavaCreeperPeopleyep, since both it and lemons are Citrus fruit, they work the same as a lemon battery (the citric acid acts as a redox conductor)
Well
neat episode! i do like the "none are fake" option as it's always been there and adds some variety
The simple addition of the possibility that none might be fake removes the usability of the elimination method to determine which one is fake, so we do actually have to consider each clip individually.
@@9nikolai Yes!
Funny fact about erasable ink being returned with cold.
In 2017 there had been a trend about erasable pens, and the thing was that this year, there was a heatwave following the written exams of the Baccalauréat (French equivalent of the High School Diploma). The examiners had to put the answer sheets in the freezer in order to be able to read anything
They allow using erasable pens on exams? In Poland you can only use black non-erasable ones.
@@wincentywilk7511 same in germany, but we use blue ones
that seems like bullshit, unless they stored the tests in a black truck in the sun it wouldn't erase, and those pens wouldn't be allowed in most countries.
@@wincentywilk7511 I assume not, but there is always people forgetting their pens, or pen having a malfunction. I could see malicious people lending an invisible ink pen or defaulting to it when the other pen do not work.
@@vukkulvar9769that's not what invisible ink is dude.
I do really like the none/multiple are fake options, the possibility (however small) they bring makes me try and justify why I think the options are fake/not rather than metagaming knowing it's certain to be 2T/1L.
Plus, that dry ice tip might just salvage some of my old notebooks, so thank you for that!
It doesn't have to be dry ice. You can just put them in the freezer and have the ink reappear.
The 2nd round was def giving me a hard time, if one had to be fake I was thinking the heatgun, but also remembered heat being used in some CSI like way with pens.
Completely forgot about the none being fake option, and for Round 3, up until you said the syrup would make the ball bounce I thought you'd do a All Were Fake as well.
Liked "none are fake" as I was convinced you would not use it. Great set of things, so yeah please do more!!!
Same
It actually IS possible to generate electricity directly from a temperature gradient like 1B, you just need a special device for it. My grandparents have one!
czcams.com/video/0xY06PT5JDE/video.html
Mehdi did a pretty cool video on it.
yes that threw me for a loop, then I remembered my material sciences classes I took ages ago stating that thermocouples (devices that produce a voltage in response to a temperature differential, the sensor component of digital thermometers and thermostats) need to be made of two different metals and the metals need to be directly in contact.
Once I realized the metals were not in contact I understood that the effect shown was false
I really liked the none were fake option. it really stumped me.
i love the none/multiple fake options! They keep me from feeling too confident about process of elimination answers haha
The first one i was tempted to say none because i remember that a temperature difference can actually create an electric potential difference which is how thermocouple thermometers work.
I got all three right this time!
i got 6/9
That was so fun! That was a big plot twist too!
1:35 ohoh.. I can allready hear Destin:
"DID SOMEBODY SAY LAMINAR FLOW?"
1/3 you got me with the second one and I thought you were going to pull a "non of them are correct" on the third
I'm glad you used the none were fake. like most of the comments I was originally stuck because you never used it before, but I got it in the end!.
Also, glad to see you still rarely use it. It'd be much less interesting if almost every video had no fakes.
Fun fact: hot and cold can be turned into electricity (dry ice would be used for one side), it's called a peltier device.
Kinda weird, because they work both ways... Give it power and one side gets cold the other hot, but if you make one side cold and the other hot it gives off power... Kinda like a motor/generator scenario.
Aahah I lost this one completely, great video. Btw, is this the end of the season?
No, I did 8 episodes in Season 1, so I'm thinking I'll do 8 again this season.
Imagine if there's a video where its all A's or something except the last one. It'll be like a school's multiple choice quiz
That "none were fake" caught me off guard, not bad
the friction pen with dry ice got me I thought it was fake
I think the viscous solution would force the pingpong ball up when dropped, only to slow it down again because it clings to the ball.
I bet that if you had separated the ball and the syrup with a layer of cling film (assuming that does not stick to the ball) it would shoot up out of the beaker.
The question is, "Which of these claims is/are fake?" This allows all or none to be so.
yea, the hot to cold would only work if a proper thermocouple is made. requiring iron and copper wires to be linked.
I was right! I was like I know for a fact the the last 2 are real, bc I lost a whole semesters worth of notes bc I left my back pack in my car on a hot day and we had a test so when I went to grab my notes we were allowed to use I didn’t have any. And the match trick I’ve done before. And the first one just felt real, I use food coloring a lot not in glycerin specifically but it makes sense. And yep they were all real.
Dang, the sun ate your notes.
Nice got all of them
Btw first video of your channel nice one
I finally got all of these correctly . Feels good
1:37 ive seen smarter every day's vid on this and the science behind it is extremely fascinating
Seen Round one in a short, but the DEAD giveaway is, how bright the LED is and how fast it turns on
Wait why does the matchstick in the second question rise up?
i was so torn between the none were fake one, I didn’t even consider none as an option! Lol
knew nothing about them .....
Same as always
When it is gonna be the multiple are fake option?
3:04 LOL WHAT?
Somehow I almost always get these right and at this point its getting creepy
On the 3rd round I'd remembered seeing your video on the subject, and I thought that it wouldn't work because the syrup was sticky. Also, you can't see the reflection of the color of the syrup in the bowl.
My thought process was "viscous syrup would act like glue, and cleaning syrup from the flooring would be a pain in the ass, so it's the fake one"
"None of them are fake" makes me feel bad for mindlessly discarding the least likely one.
So I guess they're educational, and keep users on their toes?
i have an idea for a two truths, one trash episode: 1: if you put a string of metal beads in a measuring cup or beaker, and drop the bead sting out of the cup, the beads will levitate off of the beaker. 2: if you put powdered mercury phisionate in an aquarium tank and apply heat, long tendrils will begin growing out of thin air, this does generate toxic fumes, so use cation while preforming the experiment (it could be something like this, I found it on Outrageous Acts of Science, and I feel like it should be here). 3: if you heat up a pipe, the pipe will sing, you can pour the sound into a cup and back into the pipe as shown here. Answer: #3 and #2 are false, there is a metal mesh that is heated up creating the sound tipping the pipe just stops the noise, you cannot pour sound. for #2 there would be turbulence where the two fans meet which would not make the plane float, instead, i used fishing line to hold the paper airplane in place 1: if you draw a stick figure on a glassy, non pourous surface and apply water, the stickman will come to life and dance inside of the water bubble (only works with ethanol based ink. 2: fold a paper airplane and grab two fans, place the two fans on either side of the paper airplane and it will stay stagnant in its place 3: get you and your buddies to place their phones on a table surrounding a few kernels of pop corn, have the phones call each other and the energy output of the phones should pop the pop corn kernels because the phone produces a microwave and causes the kernels the pop. #3 is false although phones do produce microwaves, they do not have the power to pop popcorn, a standard microwave has about 900 wats of energy while a mobile phone only outputs about 1 watt of energy. round 3, here how to make a homemade glow stick, take liquid floor cleaner, a lollipop, for this, use a dum-dum since it has a different chemical bond which will react differently. get some dish soap and a little water, combine it all together and you get a bioluminescent liquid that glows in the dark #2: in Turkmenistan, there's a crater that is called the "gateway to hell," its a natural gas mine turned bad that the workers decided to set ablaze, and its still burning to this day from the 1970s #3 if you angle a needle correctly, it can pierce through glass and pop a balloon on the other side without breaking the glass #1 is fake, although we all could have wished to make a homemade glow stick, these chemicals cant be used to make it
Man that clear glue got me thirsty
Yessir, I got em’ all right!
More like 3 truths and 0 trashs
Ahh damn you got me lol this would totally be a fun mobile game to play
I got all but the last one, right. What would happen with oobleck?
Round 3, option A ISN'T FAKE?!?! My god!
what website did he use?
I was almost perfect! Rounds 1 and 3 I got correct, and round 2 I knew the erasable ink trick was real and the matches trick was real but I guessed that the vegetable glycerin was fake.
Got 1 and 3 right but i thought that all where fake in 2 💀
the water and dry ice one isnt that how thermocouple works?
Awesome video! 👍
I thoroughly enjoyed "none of them were fake"
Does the water increase the bounce? Itd just bounce anyways when it hit the floor
I have those pens number three is a type of welding so I though it was either a or none
i feel so betrayed ☠️☠️ I thought there HAD to be 2 truths and one trash, since it’s the name 😭😭
I make the slime the same way it showed in the video so I knew the slime one wasn't fake
And if you lied, that oranges can power an LED, and actually, oranges can't power an LED, you will get a visit from huggy, wuggy
A or C Round 3
Please do put the series name in the title, I can see fans of the series missing uploads. Maybe also use an indicator in the thumbnail, though that is extra.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME EVER I GOT THIS RIGHT. HALLELUJAH.
A round 2
Ya can connect directly to pencil, but must touch the lead one
I want to make that slime but do you need gloves for that?
Can we get a "no one knows" option?
That's how you did it, cool.
I like the "none are fake" only if I learn something cool and it's not obvious.
Guessed them all correct the first time lmfao
I got the first and the second only, idk how to make slime so I thought it was fake
Haha normally when I mix a bunch of seemingly random stuff together, it is the fake one, so I don't blame you
sporadically its really good, don't worry too much about the name
I GOT BAMBOOZLED
You fooled me with the "None of these are fake" part.
I picked C for the none were fake even though id seen something very similar done before because i thought the none were fake was just to throw people off, i got the rest lol
I got one right for the first time 😅
for all the jokes we made, no one was prepared for the long foretold arrival of the "no fakes" answer. you like playing the long game I see! :p
i forgot none are fake was an option lol
The oranges is the only 1 I know for certian is true
It would of been funny if he got to 1.99mil and Noone subscribed so right never get a raise😅
I LIKED THE NONE WERE FAKE!!!!!
Round 1:
Answer: B
Round 2:
Answer: C
Round 3:
Answer: C
I think making one "none are fake" or "multiple are fake" one per episode would be cool, you never know when it will be
bruh the non are fake, the first and second seemed ok, but when I saw third, I was like, oh I must be wrong aboutt he first
I like the occasional none/all were fake options.
I got all of them correct
Spoiler / answer:
None of them were fake
Oh my lord I actually called it ? 1 seems like something I remember being true, 2nd one is something I actually knew and the third seemed like a thing that naturally happens so I was just thinking maybe none ? And I was right wow
The "none/multiple fake" options would be fair if you didn't preface the video with "two of the following videos are true while the other one is trash."
Can Oranges power an LED?
3/3
I don't like the No Video is fake option
Ok but how tf does ice respawn the ink💀
Heat causes the ink molecules to change to a colourless compound. The reaction can be reversed at low temperatures and the colour reappears.
@@hantrio4327 ok thanks!
B?
3 truths and 0 trash videos
Can oranges power an LED??????????????????????????? Also, I didn't know that that oranges could power an LED
B is fake. It pretends to reference the thermoelectric effect.
B is fake, the circuit isn't closed. I have doubts about C, definitely possible, but with the right electrodes, it can work
In none of the videos, you say that multiple videos were fake
I'll bet A.was fake. Video rewinded
0:24 bro spilled everything 😭😭😭
Multiple are fake round 1
No. Don’t do that ever again.
Two of the following videos are true and the other one is true. There isn’t a fake to spot
Deffenitly B
And before you were saying none of the videos were fake you, just said just kidding
