Karl's the one that's traveled abroad and gained a more spiritual so to speak sense of life. Ricky and Steve are just so cynical they attack what he says instantly without even absorbing it for a second. I mean Karl does say somewhat off things sometimes like the rubbish indicating a good camp site but that's not even far off and a good deal of what he says is spot on. You just need to open your filter on how you perceive it.
