The thing is they're not asking for 30 million. They're asking for enough money so they don't have to work a second job.
In ANY business. Your only as valuable as you are: to the team. 10 guys do build a house that worth 10 million. Well 1 guy knows how to use a tape measure and Pythagoras. 1 guy carries the wood. Do they both make a million?. Or is it. What you kill is what you eat. I kill Buffalo, you kill rabbit. Who gets to eat how much?
no, they are not making a million, but they deserve to earn enough money to live@@jasontoddlives7118
You work for that $ its what keeps them hungry why would you pay a untested guy what you pay the tested guy? every business is the same you work your way up to the top,ya seem to forget theres more then just fighters these folks gotta pay
@@jasontoddlives7118the dumbest shot I’ve ever heard, considering that fighters earn less than construction workers. It what’s amazing is that you consider knowing Pythagoras to be an incredibly powerful skill, lol what a joke
It's wild how far people go out of their way to D ride Dana and repeat his nonsense. These goobers like Jason have to turn it into some hypothetical about menial manual labor by nonprofessionals ("some guy who carries the wood" 😂) and even after their gross misrepresentation it's still utter nonsense. Even professional home builders get comprehensive health insurance. His "eat what you kill" argument is generally only about champions, otherwise it's "eat shit".
Don Frye is actually the perfect guy to start another UFC.
But he doesn't want to and that's the point, none of them want to, Overeem is a millionaire, as is McGregor, if these people wanted to start their own UFC they could, and it would be EASY for them to do so, easier than it was for Dana.
They just don't want to because nobody wants to make the sacrifices and take the risks that Dana took when he started the UFC.
Don frye should also start his own mma show and pay the fighters they ask for. Come on cowboy
@@liquidsnake6879people just ignore the risk that Dana had to go through for his business. I agree that fighters should be paid more but i also get that Dana had to go through hell to get the UFC where it is now.
Don Frye is the perfect guy to run for president
testosterone fc
Would pay good $$$ to see Don Frye v Dana White
Fight is a bit of a generous term for what that would be
@@Randomana mauling
That would be over so fast the pay-per-view would still be pulling up when it ended.
Why would you want to see Don Frye murder a meatball?
Don would put Dana in the hospital inside of 30 sec
Meanwhile Dana playing million dollar blackjack sessions…
Dana occasionally helps someone out so they call him a "nice guy" but it's just for show while he screws over most the fighters who literally destroy themselves for pennies.
What’s the average salary for UFC fighter? It’s not Pennies. I bet it’s above 50k. No one forces them to be fighters. They take a gamble in being a superstar. They are well informed before “destroying themselves”
@@divinegon4671thats not the point though. The point is the UFC employs the most talented fighters on the planet, a roster that is literally irreplaceable, and keeps 85% of the revenue.
@@SlasnerSb there’s nothing wrong with what you stated. It should be that way.
@@divinegon4671that money did the fighters get get split up a lot of different ways. Coaches, trainers, gymnasium cost and travel. It's always wise to get the whole picture before judging.
@@John-uq7uu what you said is obvious
Dana is definitely the embodiment of what capitalism REALLY is.
This is true. He gambles away millions of dollars that could go to his fighters who put their lives on the line for his company.
@@visionplusdrive All it would take is ONE top guy saying nah lets walk. Done. Dana just knows that the institutions have the leg up. Especially since a lot of these guys come from NOTHING.
Go in debt and work your ass off for a business that has a 0.1% chance of succeeding, just so the people you hire can say that you didnt do anything. The fighters are doing the fighting but they’re not risking any money
@@d21. I also agree with this take as well!
crony capitalism. not capitalism. 10 years ago the fighters were making more money along with sponsorships but now dana restricts the sponsorships for the fighters to make more money all while not compensating that lost of income. if the fighters said fuck you dana we aint fighting till you pay us what we are worth then nothing will change.
Imagine the UFC being a labor union lol
The fighters just need to get together and stand firm. That won't happen unfortunately.
Is Dana playing Kingpin on the next Spider-Man movie?
This should have way more likes
He's already in the daredevil show. Lol
Dana White wants more money too. He talks like he’s exempt, he finds ways to make him richer so what if the fighter’s do too? Dana is basically a mini dictator.
It’s his company, he can do what he wants, if they don’t like they can find a new job. That’s the problem with everyone, they just want to bitch and complain but not do anything about it. If more people just said fuck u and left he wouldn’t have a business and the next guy will hopefully learn from Dana’s mistake and pay more. Instead they just bitch and bitch
Start your own fight company if you're not being paid enough. Then you can pay yourself a bazillion.
100% Mr.Don Frye ❤😂
The fact that announcers could get paid more than the fighters themselves
The ring girls get paid more than most of the fighters. Hell, the camera crew probably gets paid more than most of the fighters.
Whhhhaaaattttt?!!
Look at idiots Joe Rogan's pay
It depends on what levels you in, CM Punk got paid 5 mil for a bout because it's business, if you're nobody but want to pay you
Don Frye vs Dana white boxing match ????
Play
U trying to get Dana killed 😂
Don tells it like it is.
I think fighters should get paid a percentage of sales like in boxing
No this kinda killed it.
Not sure boxing is the way to model it but there’s definitely room to improve
A good percentage of sales should go their way just not enough to go out of business Dana I'm sure has plenty of spending room but just keeps it underwraps instead of making 50,000 a win bonus
should be what you get for even stepping in and he has the money for that but he's the master gambler right so he needs his extra dollars and you can't tell him how to run his business
How’re you going to quantify this… there’s all these different people in a card promoting the same pay per view
So you’d have to split it per person per pay per view sale I don’t think that’ll work. Different fighters have different pulling power then nobody’s going to want to fight on cards without big name pseudo celebrities.
they do
Its funny for Dana to say that when he's the one with the money.
Don Frye is the manliest human of all time and it isn’t even close
We are not all Don Frye, that man just walks into any bank and they hand him money when he tells them to
People are always more generous with somebody else's money.
True but they're earning them that money through sacrificing blood and brain cells they should feel entitled to a piece of it that's fair to me. 20/25k is not a huge amount when you consider that PPVs gross about 45/50 million on average without taking into account sponsorships, merch, ticket sales etc; at 50 million paying a fighter 25k that is 0.05% of the take. This is what entry level fighters into the number one organisation in the world pays out. Most of these fighters work part time jobs. They have to pay their coaches and management their bills and get taxed like fuck after expenses they're left with like 5 grand.
Conor, Jon, Leon, All deserve 2m plus a fight no question
right dana acts poor when he doesnt pay his top guys fairly. no ones asking for every single unranked fighter to be a millionaire
Chael ? Idk his full name
Just fyi Conor made $3M for each of his last 4 fights & Jon Jones earned $2M for his fight against Gane as-well as Leon earned $1.1M for his second fight against Kamaru.
But if you look at the numbers Leon v Usman 2 only pulled 500K PPV buys whereas Jones v Gane pulled 1M PPV buys so it’s consistent.
Bro tried to throw Leon in there like we wouldn’t notice
Whoever is the champ should profit more. But I get it too, entertainment is what sells.
Well, the money has to come from us. It's not a hard concept, but people like to forget that it starts with the consumer.
Correct not everyone want to pay for UFC or love MMA
Fighters should probably get paid more. Hope nobody demands the government get involved.
The government already involved once you have a social security number there's no escaping unless you have an under-the-table job and they better not find out otherwise you could do more time than assaulting somebody if you owe the IRS
The government is getting involved in two different ways. This market absolutely needs governmental regulation
@@freddyfootstomps6557 The Ali Act Needs To Be Amended Legislated Into MMA, Randy Couture is Advocating for it. Randy Couture is not even allowed to buy a ticket to watch a UFC live event and he’s a former HW LTHW Champion.
Fighters have the freedom to start their own promotions if they feel the middleman is underpaying them. Just cut him out then, you don't really need him right? People come to see you right? not because the UFC spent money promoting the thing for months.
That's all it is really, if you keep working for the middleman, whilst arguing that he's screwing you then stop complaining.
If anything getting the government involved only f***s the fighters more because now they really CAN'T start their own promotions and are fully dependent on people like Dana.
The government always invariably just does things to get more money out of someone, that's all they do, they will apply taxes, fees, fines, etc.
That will make the risk of starting a new promotion 10x higher than it used to be and make it unreasonable for any collective of fighters to take that chance.
Unless you got McGregor and co involved but they don't need that, Dana already pays them millions of dollars, the undercard guys that are really the ones being underpaid are screwed either way, but would be way more screwed if the government started hypertaxing MMA
You say what you kill . Well said if yous ain’t a big draw you ain’t getting a big wage. It’s that simple
So for anyone that doesn't agree these Fighters need this kind of money yes, never forget they are literally putting their life on the line and could be quadriplegics when the bell ring
That’s their choice. They know the pay before the go in the cage. If they don’t like they can start their own organization.
@@dontworry1604 true but the big organization set the trend and should have the presence of mind to see what I'm saying. I agree no one held a gun to their head and made them go get in that cage but there would be no cage if there wasn't Fighters
@@modev4163 right if the fighters didn’t work for shit pay the companies paying shit wouldn’t be in business anymore
Get a real job then. Or promote and organize your own fights like the Paul's

Why don't apply the Ali act? Or let fighters unionize? Why dana? Cause it'll hurt your ego and bank account.
They can go to another organization.put on their own shows
@@kevinnazario7428 leave your basement
They're muscle, not brain
Dana is right though. You gotta bring value to the company. However, I wish ads on shorts came back. That would really fix the problem and quiet a lot of ignorant people.
What’s interesting is the SAG union is striking for more money but these fighters wouldn’t even think about going on strike because of the pride and the fact that they can beat everyone’s a$$ and don’t need to prove it. I have to agree with Frye based on fighters injuries and team members. That all adds up.
More money, more problems - michael scott
Dana "be lucky I give you the 500$ I give you".
The thing we just. Can’t seem to comprehend is the people hold the power if we banded together things would get done
You eat what you kill, I like that. But also Don Frye's take. I'll never talk shit about the Predator because even if he is dead IM sure he will beat my ass.
I would pay to see Dana fight a legit fighter.
None of the fighters should have to work 2nd jobs to support their families. If you want the best fights take the worry of a 2nd job off their shoulders
There are great companies that still share a percentage of earning with their employees. If UFC gave their fighters the same money but with bonus incentives based on PPV purchases and some type of retirement based on fights fought (tenure you wouldn’t have so many scorned fighters. The fighter would actually push the fights even more to sell more and they wouldn’t besmirch the UFC name as often.
I’ve been an employee and an employer. You pay people what is fair and what is needed to grow your business. Whatever that number, that’s the number.
😂😂 actual get a life.
Everyone saying it's unfair but the people in charge who are making a ridiculous amount of money...yet because they say so...that makes it fair ?
Sorry what
When you sell fights and create highlights you are rewarded. Period. Just like in real life if I have a skill that makes me needed, I’m gonna be payed for it
In real life do you get punched in the face? 🤣🤣🤣
So you don't think you deserve more pay for what you already do?
@@lemdecrem1061then don’t fight and sign the contract. They get oaid as much as they bring
@@Kbax3614 as easy as that. Wow where have you been with your logical thinking. Just don't fight, don't pay your bills, feed your family 🤣
@@mbirdmann1866 I mean lets be real most people don't actually deserve more pay cause most people put in the bare minimum effort to get their job done. Most guys are shit at selling fights which is really what their job is, its not just the fighting itself. Any guy that sells never complains about how much they are getting paid in the UFC.
Dana White always takes rational questions like fighter pay to the extreme to try an make it look stupid.
They get payed very well, everyone just wants more!!
Don pisses pure testosterone. What a stud.
Everyone wants more money but everyone wants to fight once a year
Based on risking your life in front of thousands of paying customers
Don is speaking truth but it cost a lot to promote and licensing and security and many other fees. When Don was doing it the did make dog shit. Don Frye is a GOAT THO!
The fact of the matter is that everyone that works for the UFC (other than the fighters 🤦♂️) get paid wayyy too much. Taking away from the fighters. Dana will never admit it. He pays himself and the executives way too much.
When the boss is out in Vegas losing millions at the blackjack tables that’s no doubt pissing fighters off alot
I agree fighters need to get paid more but I also think part of the problem is the roster is too big.
They should be paid better but the truth is that i only few times watch the main card, sometimes only watch the main event, most times i watch whatever fighters im interested in watching. The only time i ever watched a esrly/prelim on purpose was for 300 cuz it was stacked. If you look at the arena, the people that pay for the seats only come until like 1-2 fights before the main event.
Dana is 100% right some fans complain but y’all never watch the undercards y’all only watch the main event more than 80% of fans don’t know who’s fighting on the undercard. That’s why people who aren’t recognized aren’t getting paid well. And trust me u can get recognition fast in the ufc u just have to entertain. High risk high reward. U just gotta risk it. Like chandler.
We won't have American fighters soon. 15 or 20 grand for a fight is a lot. But not in America. But all these fighters he signs from other countries is beneficial for his own personal business. Its a win win situation for Dana. A fighter goes back to his country and that 20 grand easily turns in 500 grand or more. Dana saves money and the fighter makes a living... America isnt for Americans.
Dana pays them less because he wants more.
pretty sure 90% of the fighters would be fine with 90k a year..
instead of 15k for a fight
They’re both right
Tbh they deserve more money. They're killing each other everytime.. but tbh. Don frye era deserved waaaay more than what modern fighters get. They had almost no saftey and guys were all juicing...
Don’t sign if you’ve got an issue with the pay.
Don Frye is awesome !!
Pay them fairly based on the gate takings. U're taking the bulk of the purse Dana.
Jordan Peterson VS Neal Degrass Tyson !😂
In a perfect world every fighter gets paid millions, but any mma promotion that tried that would go bankrupt very fast.
Those guys ask for what they want most get what they ask for….
Get don face to face and say i want more money bet he will get it lol he sthe king of kings
Meantime Dana goes to Vegas to play $50 000 poker hands
The most difficult sport in the world with the best fighting organization, all fighters need a minimum of six figures base
He is a UFC champion, back pay. No Don Fry no UFC
Dana white vs francis ngannou next, Dana would make big bucks from paperview
It’s why the MMA guys do cross over fight to get paid properly fighting boxers they don’t have much chance of beating, they gotta get paid more!!!!
You pay to much and you take away the hunger..
Most ufc fighters get paid so little that they need a 2nd job working at least 40+ hours a week
You know nothing Jon snow
Don Frye is who SHOULD run the UFC.
when you look up “man” in the dictionary it should just be a picture of don Frye
Dana has taken fighters (and their camps) who have shown to be formidable in the cage, under his wing and allowed them to capitalize on the opportunity. The best promoter of all time, imo.
Don. God love him
I wanna see him fight Don in his prime….. we wouldn’t even recognize him after!!!! We all remember the Takayama fight. He closed both eyes shut!!!
Why is everyone hating on dana he made a name he is successful u get views u get paid nothing wrong
Based on that they put their health online.
Dana Whyte is the Don King of MMA.
Dana White the White Don King.
Dana it's time to reap it!!!!!!!
Your the champion you do not eat what you kill. You eat what they give you. And they give you like 1% even less then that of ppv And sales.
everyone that draws gets paid. If your bottom of the card trying to make your way you're not gonna get a huge payday b/c your basically filler and its an opportunity to prove yourself and move up.
People that say "Oh business should raise the minimum wage to $20" are the same people who will have spontaneous combustion in the asshole paying a markup on the groceries if some store payed their employees that. Like the money comes if US. We pay for what we take then the shop owner pays his dealer whatever deal he setup and gets a slight margin in between. It's not like the dealer gets all the money and pulls out the grocery straight out his candy ass. Many people don't understand the fucking concept of that. People saying "Oh Dana took money from the fertita brothers and so he didn't take any risk" ask yourself if you took a loan of 10,000 dollars from someone you know saying you got an idea to make millions and then you lose their money, what would they do? No imagine those people as fucking mafia gangsters and the amount being in the millions, if Dana lost that money he would have been in a bodybag.
Just let them have sponsors on their shorts
The average UFC fighter made $160,022 in 2021, up from average earnings of $146,673 in 2020. 256 fighters (42%) earned six-figures in 2021, up from 219 fighters (38%) in 2020. 116 fighters (19%) made less than the average U.S. income ($25,000). The highest-paid UFC fighter was Conor McGregor, with $10,022,000 (without PPV bonuses).
I think if Dana spent real time in a training camp he’d see things differently after all the blow sweat and tears
Dana absolutely right "You eat what you kill"
in other words everybody paying for goodies so called exiting shows yea, really can Don chicken fry answer "who wants boring shows"?
The face of dana white is look like dollar 😂
Dana needs the money to pay off them gambling debts
The truth on why fighters do not get paid super well is easy to know why! All everyone has to do is look at what happened to Connor after he became loaded! Now if a fighter stays with the UFC does all his fights makes all their weights! Just fights with their all and draws crowds! When they retire the UFC should pay them out so they have millions and never worry about money ever again. And make them sign an NDA so they never tell anyone how much money they were paid at retirement. So future fighters don’t know and it ruins their hunger.
This sounds just like Union and non-union workers.
Why did Dana stop sponsors from putting money in these guys pockets? I'm guessing he couldn't wiggle his way into taking a good chunk from each one, it doesn't make any sense other than there's some risk and Dana isn't rewarded? Like a sponsor does a bud light move and loses 20 billion
If you look at the UFC as ENTERTAINMENT and not COMPETITION, the pay makes more sense. That said, it prob sucks to take fights and actually end up losing money after expenses. I wish they would do a tournament style, top 3 take prize money, maybe on the side of the ufc as it’s own thing
Fighters do all the work that makes UFC what it is , and you have one like Dana White who owns the company they work for basically , and makes more money than anybody , and these are facts WHILE the best fighters get passed up in favor of lucrative opportunities for up and coming fighters. It is true UFC has become bigger while White has been in power however that means more money has been coming in , fighter paychecks or whatever could be alot more.
Fry had a point with the whole ' He wants to bitch and throw a fuss ' because end of the day , he (White ) doesn't put gloves on ... he doesn't spill blood and give blood to be paid , he slides pens and has the size he does only so he doesn't get tossed around too bad IF that does happen at all since he employs true bad asses that hurt people for a living. White is like a successful restaurant owner who still pays the waiters 3.00 and hour knowing to leave that on the mercy of a derived tip system is complete and utter bullshit.
The guys need to be paid more money, but Dana needs to keep playing those quarter million $ blackjack bets.
Dana: You eat what you kill?
Everyone: What did you kill?
Dana: Well, it is not that simple.
Everyone: So nothing.
Dana: Like I said.
Everyone: Like I said, nothing.
I see From dons point of view he was working his ass off doing 8 fights in a night but some of these guys only wanna fight once a year
Get rid of Dana who never fought for anything a day in his life and put Mr. America himself Don Mother Fuckin' Frye in as President of the UFC
Don Frye vs Dana White. I'd pay to see that massacre!!
No ones asking for 30 mil dana.
There’s pro fighters in the ufc that aren’t that famous that live in their gym because they can’t afford rent….
Don't know what the ring girls kill but they are definitely not starving
Dana pays people a proportion of what the card earns, the issue is that the UFC has some 500 people under it's employ, not all of them fight on every card, so they don't make money on every PPV or card the UFC promotes, just the ones they were part of.
That already cuts their personal earnings into a 10th, then you have the fact that on a given card most people came to see the main event, not the undercard match so the undercards get less money than the main eventers.
That's how it averages out to 160K a year on AVERAGE, but keep in mind the guys higher up the card make $100,000 a fight easily and are almost all millionaires by the time they retire.
If you want Dana to change the split to benefit the undercards more at the expense of the Main Eventers then talk to McGregor and co about taking less money. Good luck with that.
There's plenty of money to go around. They are the most profitable sports league on planet earth BY FAR. There's money there, no one has to take less than what they're making right now .
I would guess you're pay scale depends on reputation & ticket sales.
