I'd been divorced for 5yrs and gone back to boozing and womanising like I had been in my youth.
Then about a year before I was born again , I started a new job . They put me to work with a lad , Adam , who was a Christian. He was about 30 yrs old , married and we made great friends. As I kept coming to work hungover , sometimes with cuts and bruises from drunken fights etc , Adam and another Christian started praying for me to know the Lord Jesus.
Chris , the other Christian , was a former alcoholic . One Sunday he took me to church , then to his home for lunch with his wife. She told me of his old ways , the stories were funny , but I guess they spoke to me too.
So one night on a late night street outreach I prayed a heartfelt prayer to the Lord , the first time I'd ever prayed like that.
Praise God , I've never regretted that night .
Now I'm happily married and still loving the Lord Jesus .

Two people (one Christian the other Atheist) are walking through an apple orchard coming upon 377 apples "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart on the ground.
The atheist, given their belief in spontaneous "accidents", concludes "nice accident" and continues walking. Obviously, not thinking anything more about it - as that is how he/she is brainwashed by their "secular" public education to believe.
On the other hand, the Christian sees the exact same 377 apples "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart, and concludes "WHO IN THE WORLD DID THAT?"
Which has a more rational and logical conclusion???
Basic logic dictates behind "order" there has to be an "orderer". Behind every "building" you see is a "builder" you cannot see.
Behind something that is "moving" there is a "mover" - that "caused it" to move.

Now, let’s raise the spontaneous "accident" odds to absolute absurdity. i am an atheist that would love to go to atheist church. a lot of them are even humor based. I'm thinking about getting one going in my area as i live in the south and there's a lot of us that are outspoken so a community of atheists would be amazing. i rarely ever get to have an openly godless conversation with someone face to face.

one of the top gatherings is called sunday assembly. it was founded by two british comedians and has spread to the states. search it. it's kinda of interesting.

+Devin Daniell he's naturally biased as a Christian, therefore can/will not dig into the Christian belief system with as much ease as he can and does the atheistic system of thought. He makes fun of Christians in a cute way, but when he digs into atheism, even though he does it in a pretty cute way, he touches on some pretty weighty points (no one loves all the children of the world). I think him singing about the absurdity of a man raising from the dead would be fantastic, just as I think an atheist singing about how the world is nothing but unregulated chaos would be awesome. There's a saying that goes "blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they will never cease to be amused." Idk.

Religion is what we submit ourselves to and invest the greatest amount of ourselves too. Anything we place before the true Almighty is an idol, including ourselves and becomes "our religion." It is impossible to not serve a "God" because by definition the word means Mighty, powerful, strong, and there is always someone over who exercises power over us. There can be only ONE ultimate Mighty ONE!

I hate it whenever people say agnostics are just fence sitters or they can't make up their minds. Agnostics know what they believe, and it's that it's not possible (well, at least while you're alive, not sure after you die) to determine whether there is a god or not. A deity doesn't have to be "god" as per most people's definition. It could be something completely undetectable that's beyond our comprehension and is utterly different compared to our current religions. And unless there's some sort of afterlife, it's impossible to know for sure.

At this point arguing with someone who "doesn't believe in evolution" is the intellectual equivalent of arguing with a flat earth believer. Your belief is irrelevant to reality. The Christians in my biology class acknowledge that because they are educated.
SteelRainz1 well, here's why the people who believe in evolution are the "un-educated ones" here. You know the evolution chart? From when a man turns into a monkey? I've lived for a preeeeeeeety long time, and I haven't seen any monkeys that are on there way to becoming a human yet. I've seen monkeys, I've seen gorrillas, I've seen humans, but I never saw any in-betweeners. Wonder how that effects athiest. Alot unless there able to make up more stupid ideas that make even less sense, sorry. I really don't want to fight, but you do have to admit, in the end, evolution still has some cracks that athiest just can't fill.
