    It’s a great high pitched whistle in case of emergency.

    I'm about your size. Currently, there' are only a S/M and L/XL options. You mentioned getting "M/L" -- is that no longer offered, or did you mean L/XL?

    I think it should come with a waterproof cover as standard. I have an Osprey Syncro 12 and that has a cover. I’m now looking for a larger backpack to carry some larger items, but it has to be either waterproof or has a cover.

    It's all about how they fit you... Osprey or Gregory makes awesome pack but best way is to try them... I did try the Osprey talon 22 vs the Gregory Miwok 24... almost the same except 2L and minor things but overal the same.... they are both amazing packs but The gregory was fitting better on me... But the Talon 22 is an awesome pack... Many of my friends are using it.

    Hello @BackpackingUK, I was wondering if the Talon 22 is somewhat foldable? I have also seen the Stratos24, and it offers much more value at a lower price. But due to the metal rack, it is not at all foldable, which can be a bit difficult when taking it on an airplane. Kind regards!

    Great video mate! I bought this one and a Lowe Alpine Active 22 and I'm now trying to decide which one to keep. Price difference aside, I do prefer the Talon 22, but the water compartment has got me worried. Does it not have any kind of cover or am I missing something? That will get wet even on a light shower... Do you have any comments on this? Has that given you any kind of issues? Any help would be much appreciated 👍

    • @BackpackingUK
      @BackpackingUK  Před 2 lety

      I purchased the waterproof cover for it. It's a shame this model doesn't come with one and I would argue it should do at this price. Fortunately, I've only been caught in light rain since I purchased it (18 months ago) so never needed to use the cover..

  • @ahoward3503

    Finally a review on this. I'm in the middle of a potential gear trade with someone. Thank you! Would note...on the cycle helmet attachment it fits adult helmets only. I damaged my helmet putting it on because the openings were too small (cracked the plastic). Now, I'm okay with that because needed a new size upgrade anyway for my head. I'm glad it happened on my old helmet and not a brand new one. Make sure you check out the vents on the helmet you use. It is a convenient feature, but that was my only note that you could damage your helmet.

    Side pockets aren’t deep enough for bottles. If you stuff the top pocket it digs in the top of your back and the fitting is a bit iffy. Apart from that it is a great day bag.

    Your video was excellent up to the point you said it was £150 and expensive. For what you are getting, it is not expensive. Osprey is an awesome feature-packed backpack and if you shop around (amazon has it for £110). The Bladder and waterproof cover have never been part of the backpack, so you can't say it is expensive because of that. Besides one doesn't need either if carrying a water bottle or two. I've had Osprey backpacks for years. I am about to replace my Osprey Talon 11, which has served me for at least 7 years. It has the exact features as the 22, and I've used it in heavy rain and snow and it has performed perfectly.

    • @darrenlinden9862
      @darrenlinden9862 Před 3 lety

      i dont think its expensive really. considering it has hard wearing materials and a lot of them are made from recycled materials now, plus it has osprey's lifetime guarantee. i have 3 osprey bags, my big one ive travelled india with for 6 weeks and it was a dream to wear and carry and i had it packed to the rafters and nothing broke on me.
      you cant really go wrong with an osprey and I personally wouldnt use another brand now. 😁
