So little copper is mined. Over 95% is recycled. So if you invest in meth and use it as currency to pay meth heads-they will steal all the copper you want from construction sites…to sell back plumbing and electrical companies only for it to be stolen again. Gold has a 4000 year tradition as a monetary standard. Not a sucker bet. Look who’s accumulating gold. China is.

    • @oscarwindham6016

@@Mikesorrento3344 Actually, gold is the best conductor of electrical current out of these three metal commodities you have listed but even at the reasonable price of approximately $40 per troy ounce, gold is still prohibitively costly with silver being next in line as a real good electrical conductor but still pricy while copper gets the job done at the best price with these other two metal commodities being used sparingly where and when their specific conductivity is required. As for China accumulating gold, the first issue that comes to mind is that IF China is buying vast quantities of gold, they are doing so with their electronically generated (QE here in the U.S.) monies which is a whole different, though very related story, which process negates the need for a gold asset and then there is the fact that China is known for buying in bulk at a wholesale or cheaper price and then reselling at a high retail price. Then there is your 4000-year-old gold monetary standard that is now passe' and in fact it has now been proven that gold is a paleo/financial/economic holdover that has no place is our 21st-century financial/economic system for a myriad of reasons which includes the fact that gold will never again be seen as nor used as a currency here in the U.S. because of sheer bulk, ease of counterfeiting with today's technology, and then there is that time consuming assaying process. Gold will never again be seen as nor be used as an asset basis for valuation for any developed sovereign nation since it is now understood that the true asset basis for valuation of all sovereign nation's currency is derived from as well as being based upon each sovereign nation's most valuable, most "precious" asset which is we the people. Not gold, not silver, not diamonds, and not crude oil or any other commodity but again, we the people are the asset basis for valuation for our currency and we really always have been.
