Journaling literally saved my life this year, I’ve been miserable all this year, but I promised my self to keep journaling, and now after a year of struggle, I have healed and I have gotten enlightend in so many ways, because I only kept jounrling, when I thout I was falling apart, I was actually falling into the right place, journaling is great, well said Mathew.
I'm in recovery, 163 days sober from drugs and alcohol, and part of the program is journaling. That's one thing that I haven't gotten around to doing. I know I need to implement it, just haven't made the time.

I had a journal since I was 15. The consistency in my writing was about what happening in my life, without much reflection (a download I never wanted to see again). My experience now is more about a day dream instead of a worry/pitty party... so to say, to feel, see, and hold is my experience has been magic...the consistency of my writing is still sporadic and understandably so as my style is changing. My meditation however are elevated. Much love and all the best x
After reading Green Lights, I feel privileged to have been invited to learn more about just one man among the millions whom I will never actually get to know on a personal level who could very well be someone worth knowing. But I am also aware I'll never have more of an opportunity to really get to know him, so it may as well have been fiction. I'm someone who writes in the margins of all my favorite books, often burning through several paperback copies over the years. I guess you could say my own story is written in the margins. But however you choose to view your own past, present and future, it's always uniquely your own, be it documented quietly in the margins, or published for the world to consider. Embrace your own story- but more importantly- actually live it. I would like to think that Mr. McConaughey would concur.

Thank you so much for writing about some of your own personal things you’re not necessarily proud of. You took ownership of your life’s journey up to now. You put yourself in the spotlight and explained what the experience, good or bad taught you or how it reshaped you and made you who you are today. You are an amazing man. I liken you, in my mind, to a professor whose class you cannot wait to get back to, because you are so enjoying the particular expansion of your mind which is happening in that coursework through that professors’ leadership. I know that many have suggested that you would have a great impact for the world if you entered politics. I feel the impact you are having now IS a truly great one and I wonder if you would not be better suited to a world classroom setting, where those connectable ideas, that you seem so able to express in a readily understandable way for us, your fellow humans, could have a broader impact for each individual personally. I would certainly attend!

You can avoid a lot of headaches by clearing up head space and placing your thoughts, plans and experiences down on paper. Sadly, our minds now associate these fantastic smart phones with time wasting, social media and consume and poop out material. Our minds will not take anything we attempt to learn or plan on a phone seriously anymore. These are perfect for building a better you in 2022.

Journaling is one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself and potentially others. There is an alchemy to it that transforms you. It is also a means of manifestation. There's no down side to it. Another powerful writing tool is once you've written down something you want to resolve/dissolve/eliminate from your life...burn that letter or that journal to transmute it. I coach my clients on this all the time. A beautiful quote about the power of handwriting is this one: “The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line, Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.” ― Omar Khayyám
I started to journal decades ago, but for me it was very personal, and with too many nosy folks around looking at what I wrote, I had no privacy. Should that matter, probably not, but because of it, I stopped. Wish I hadn't because my kids would now love to read about their dads life. Sadly for them, they only get to hear what I can remember as things pop up that remind me of something from the past.

Im so glad I called this morning to see if i could have one set aside for pickup. I picked it up and decided to go back inside to see if i could buy another(was going to gift a copy) and they were all sold out.
