Tip for Allen, if he hasn’t worked on it yet. Noticed he’s holding his stick nice and loose when he’s lining up his shots, as he should be, but then grips the stick tighter right as he follows through. Let him know to always keep that hand calm, steady, and loose. Just that little movement can cause him to move the cue just slightly enough and not hit straight where he’s aiming, and put unwanted English on the cue ball.
Kudos for the observation Skylar! And for posting. I didn't notice, so I'll go back and look. Maybe it's something that will help him. 👍🏼It's definitely a good idea to keep your grip loose throughout the stroke. And guys, this is one of the biggest reasons I post these matches. If just one viewer helps a player - me OR my opponent - that's amazing, and totally makes my effort worth it. I appreciate you Skylar, and my all other viewers & subs. 🙂👏👊
Thanks for posting. I like the editing and overlays. Keep it up, man!
Thanks!
good job on the capture, often wondered how i fair against other 7's, enjoyed watching, Thanks
Thanks! Appreciate it! Be sure to subscribe. I'm gonna start posting more of my APA matches. 👍
Solid performance.
15:46. Look back. You had a really good safe option. Cutting the 9 and leaving the cue behind the 8 and 13.
You're right. Good eye!
You're a good shot Randy. Just lighten up on the stroke a bit, easy is usually best
Appreciate the comment. Agreed. 👍😉
This skill level six would not be able to compete in our pool rooms
He just went up from a 5. He has 2 pool tables at his house and is getting better every time I see him play. 👍
The 7 would not be a 7 around here either.
@@timothybarcomb2301 An APA 7 averages less than 2 innings per game (I had 11 in 6 games).
Congratulations buddy!
Allen is a decent ball-potter. With a little work on pattern play and his tactical game he'd be pretty solid IMO.
What kind of cue do you shoot with? Is the cue ball the over sized type or the same size as the object balls? Enjoy your videos.
Using Meucci w/Meucci Pro shaft at the moment. Cue ball is red circle Aramith, not sure of the exact sizes.
@@randymallett It's the same size.
And, follow through more on the draw shots...
Agree with you on that as well. I appreciate everything that's commented on. So I can go back and revise/tweak certain things and hopefully improve because of it. Thanks!
At 11:34 no back spin just follow with a tip of outside or natural I can’t tell the angle but great shooting though
Yeah that prob would've done it. 👍
Yes sir I’ve learned to follow it’s much more forgiving it don’t look as cool but it works great videos my man
I haven't played in 25 years and I believe I could beat Randy anytime or anywhere ,I'm 68 with bad back and bad vision.
!
If your talent is half as big as you're ego, I'm sure you could! Hahaha. Thanks for watching my inferior pool playing. Don't forget to subscribe! lol
68yo troll...
@@steves.2368 lol
@@randymallett I've tried to join in Maine 2or 3 times they said no more 7s needed.Maby something coming soon.
When ya'll play with the likes of the Preacherman or Bobby Pickle in Nashville u might mention me and then decide who the troll is . Bobby may be unavailable for a little longer ,but he'll be out soon.,also used to practice with Fats @ Black Widow in a Madison pool hall.
Don't know the camera person, but why do we need to see the bottom of the table . All the action is on the top of the table. Cant see faces at all. Can't see what shots they are looking at and rejecting or planing. Please take a video production class on how to setup camera shots. Or just watch Match Room, Predator, APA, ESPN, Omega Billiards, Poolaction tv, on how to setup camera shots. This is ALMOST unwatchable. You can run graphics a still have a full view of the top of the table and the players faces.
LOL sorry about that. Accidentally had the camera facing down too much. Rest of my videos aren't too bad, angle-wise. As far as taking classes... I'm just a pool player who records his stuff. I'm no videographer by any means. 😅 Every single thing I do is on my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. I don't even have a real camera. 😉
