I had a *7 figure* contract, playing baseball yet I still showed up at the stadium in my old, high school car. My teammates never understood what that was about. A lot of people underestimate how good Leo Santa Cruz is it because they underestimate how skilled Carl Frampton is, Carl Frampton skill wise is like Gervonta Davis however Gervonta Davis is more explosive and powerful. Leo Santa Cruz has reach, fast combinations and some power to create a tornado of punches in his within his kill circle. Therefore it is certain if Gervonta Davis wants an easy fight he needs to have amazing head movement and counter punching ability to get in the inside and out of range. Otherwise he needs to trade punches with Leo Santa Cruz. So the big question is if both stand toe to toe who would win such an exchange? If it Gervonta Davis I would favour Davis to certainly to win. If it is Leo Santa Cruz I'll say the fight is still 50, 50 as Gervonta Davis will still have the advantage to decide when to engage in the fight because of his better foot work.

Nearly all the best fighters particularly in the lower weight divisions come from boxing families (Mayweather, Donaire, Ryan Garcia, Naoya Inoue, Lomenchenko, Crawford, Spence, etc.) and have been boxing since a very young age. That's why we see so much polished talent and skill in the game today. Even those who don't manage to make it to the top have been boxing all their lives but just fell a little short in the comparative talent department. The days of seeing a guy who started boxing while in prison, like Bernard Hopkins, and making it to the top are all but over. Unless you're a heavyweight, where it's all about power, you've got to start preparing to be a boxing warrior from an early age.
