Best liberty port for the US Navy in the early 70's. My introduction was 1973. The Hale Koa is a great place to stay. The circle too. By the banyan tree but I've heard that neighborhood is sketchy now.. not the laid back scenes from the 70's, 80's...

5:15 circle hotel. There's a good breakfast place in the lobby.

6:30 banyan tree. This was a cool place to be a few years ago. I've heard this is a place not to be after dark.
