B6 VW Passat Marker Light Replacement

How to remove the marker/blinker light on a B6 Passat in order to swap to smoked or clear lights or to tint the bulbs amber to use those lights legally in the US.

Wiha Tools are made for mechanics who really discriminate for quality. Sehr gut. Now, you call it a marker light and in the USA we usually call it a turn signal light/bulb. Only tip I have is at the very beginning of film show entire car then switch to marker light as the focus.

Hi! I have a 2010 VW CC that came with the orange indicator housing, but I'm going to switch it out for a white/ reflective one. Should I keep it with a clear bulb, or amber one?

The clear indicator kit you purchase dictates what type of bulb you must use. Most aftermarket ones require amber bulbs, while OEM euro ones have an amber reflector that you cannot see from outside that tint the output of the clear bulb to amber, allowing one to use the stock clear bulbs. Essentially, if you use clear bulbs and your signals do not blink amber, you must switch over to amber bulbs. Thanks for watching!

Hi where did you get the aftermarket smoke marker light from I bought one from eBay It doesn't fit

THESNEAKERBULLY These are from ECS tuning, but they don't fit particularly well either. The best option would be to buy some OEM clear markers and smoke them yourself, but that will cost well into the hundreds of dollars. Thanks for watching!

VW parts catalogs may list them online, or you should be able to figure out what size bulb your particular car uses and order a compatible plug from a source that specializes in them - may even be on Amazon. Thanks for watching!
