Brendan Fraser needs to come back for another mummy movie! Three isn’t enough, and the Tom Cruise one doesn’t count it should be destroyed.
I would love for him to comeback but I don't think he can do his stunts anymore. He got hurt badly during the previous ones.

Jokes aside, the emperor died at the age of 49. His son reigned for the next 3 years before the whole dynasty is toppled by rebellions. The Qin dynasty only lasted for 15 years.
The cool part about this films version of Qin Shi Huang is that they incorporated his quest for immortality very well.
Michelle Yeoh has just got more beautiful and talented with age. She is a remarkably skilled actor and I am so glad for her that her work was recently recognised with an Oscar, albeit not for her best film. This looks like a great film and it's going on my wish list.

@@M_H_H We can agree to differ on that one. I think she's always been beautiful, but that she has aged beautifully too and being born beautiful is accidental, whereas remaining beautiful, given all the environmental and other life stressors on one's face and body, is much harder. 🙂
I agree. She no longer possesses the miracle that is beauty at a young age, but she is extremely graceful and captivating. Her eyes have depth, her face has character.

@@ulfberht4431 I think she's gorgeous regardless of age. So is Shohreh Aghdashloo. And Vanessa Redgrave. All very different, but all beautiful throughout all stages of their lives to date. I mean, you can only compare a 20 year old woman with another 20 year old woman, or the comparison does not hold - it is not scientific so to speak. Compared to their peers, each of the women I've mentioned is stunning at every age.

Yup, its what put me off this movie was not having her in it
So true. When Rachel weisz turned the role down, I wish they would have just killed off Evelyn. Or made it like she and Rick just couldn't work through their differences. That could've been a background to why Rick and son don't get along. Maria bello took the role and destroyed the Evelyn character.

It may not be great as previous mummy movies but it didn't deserve the hate it got. I love the movie the monsters & the plot. Not just Egyptians mummies. This was very accurate to search of immortality as well. The actress who played Eve was good but can't help but think Rachel would've been better. If they ever make another not like reboot with Tom. The one in this universe I hope the original cast is up for it.
Now I gotta go and rewatch this. Such a great movie with a great cast.👍🏻

In a way, Zi Yuan did give the Emperor what he wanted, even if it was not in the exact way he expected or desired it to be. 😂 Mmmm…I wonder if this curse would have worked on Voldemort and his Death Eaters. After all, Voldemort is as obsessed with immortality as the Emperor is, if not more so.

General "& i took that personally"
I feel the Emperor at the beginning already knew what might happen. Its like some kind of communication tactic: "Ok, I know what is going to happen later on, but I still choose to say it out".
However, let's say even if General Guo Ming didn't do anything, the Emperor will still be suspicious of him and uses this as a chance to eliminate the general (I was thinking since the general has been following the Emperor for so long, just imagine how the Emperor became worried that there might be a tilt in power. In other words, if the General has been in the office for quite a time, he has his own supporters and...the rest is history)
It is a very motivating movie that makes you more courageous

This movie was kind of a mess, which is too bad, because Chin Shi-Huang was a genuinely fascinating historical figure.
One of the most fascinating historical figures. HIs real tomb is still untouched because archeologists are worried about accidently destroying the tomb and all the booby traps that are in there. Also the rivers of mercury inside his tomb is also a worry.
