5:51 notice how he jumps and the scout immediately goes back to doing 90 damage on the headshot instead of 106. That means it won't work with heat rises and requires you to be grounded to use it
this has been known since the perk released and was probably the first thing was tested for it
But at 3:51 when he said he didn't mean to jump he hit his shot and it proc high ground
@@Angelv_86 high ground was changed to work as any normal damage buff perk. so it works while also jumping.
Which is weird because that's how it USED to be and was why it wasn't considered great. They changed it to work like Rampage while gaining the full benefits when on high ground.
So it SHOULD be able to give you a damage buff during that duration even if you jumped in the air as it should just be a duration buff.
But either typical Bungie not describing the interaction enough or a bug is making it lose the damage buff when in air like it's old initial activation.
Just use stasis hunter with the exotic cloak role of renewal grasps and Cytarachne. Free high ground with pretty decent uptime.
stasis crystal ledges count as "ground" so you can do some wild shit with glacier grenades. as long as your feet are above their feet, and your feet and on the ground, you get it. fun fact: it actually works in PvE on The Witness because his "feet" are like a mile below you or something

Played one session with it and it’s nuts, not gonna be putting it away for a while. Hunter with radiant dodge makes it so cheesy.. 116 to the head makes it always 2 tap

High Ground goes right to 3 stacks when you are so much as 1ish (3ish feet) above your opponent. You don't even need a kill, just one hit gives you 3 stacks. That's absurdly easy to pull off, I called when this season started how people are gonna sleep on this because it used to suck and I've seen three videos about it in the last couple of days.

You can use glacier nades to make a platform to stand on and it counts . Use armamentarium on titan double nades
Pretty sure Highground checks its user feet height and compares height to the target's feet height, if im correct now you understand how to utilize the perk
I wish I had this unlocked...but I'd probably still use Prophet over this in trials because of rapid hit w/ headstone

They should take the melee whiff glitch, and change it into a feature. The whiff would have a unique animation where the opponent parries your attack and sparks fly. At tier 1 strength there is a 10% chance to whiff, at tier 10 there's a 1% chance
heal clip incan in pve also feels really nice with this gun

Using a Solar Hunter with acrobats dodge and Sixth Coyote to abuse radient can make the 2 tap a lot more consistent

Just run something that can guarantee radiant. Hunter dodge on solar, speakers with the artifact mod to give radiant on orbs and you can 2 tap any resil as long as you have the high ground.
So why specifically that barrel and mag? You can max out range and stability doesn't matter as much since the gun is sturdy at its base plus the perks . Eager to hear your reasoning and perspective

I think you need a surge mod or radiant to get a 2 tap. Because 106x2 is not enough for a T0 2 tap (215 health)

Maybe a good tip as I’ve been using since release but counterbalance on it makes a huge difference. It seems to get really weird bloom for some reason if the recoil direction is low. Those times you thought you were shooting bad was because of that and I can guarantee it.
do you also use a recoil direction barrel?

Probably arrowheadbrake, or fluted would be the best options.

The good thing about this perk is that you don't even need to be way higher than your target. You only need to standing literally 1 metre higher to get the full benefits of High Ground.
It's not on that many primary weapons, but after watching this video, I think I'm gonna take a look at it.
Also, Rampage is looking like more and more of a boomer every day with all these damage perks laughing at it.

One thing you learn quick. Aggressive frame scouts are god awful when every other scout just kills faster with similar range. Just use hung jury for an easy quicker 4 tap, or just use jade rabbit for the same 3 tap but again... faster.
With radiant and high ground active an aggressive will 2 tap bringing it down to a .5 ttk. Other than that tho your are just better off with a different scout like jade rabbit.

Same can be said about 120 hand cannons, the point isnt the TTK, its the consistency and heavy damage each shot making team shooting a breeze
Using this aggressive scout is way easier to get the 3 tap than other shots. I wouldn't recommend hung jury unless you're using box breathing. Without it, it just kills the same as every scout. Scouts are just terrible in general and have a long ttk.
