    ABOUT BRIGADOON:
Before My Fair Lady and Camelot there was Brigadoon, Lerner & Loewe’s transcendent romantic fantasy about the past, the present, and what it means to (almost) be in love. The classic 1947 musical, celebrating its 70th anniversary, follows Tommy Albright (Patrick Wilson), a jaded New Yorker who gets lost in the Scottish Highlands and stumbles into an idyllic town that only appears for one day every century. He quickly becomes smitten with the headstrong Fiona MacLaren (Kelli O’Hara) and makes an enemy of the rebellious Harry Beaton (Robbie Fairchild), bringing about a chain of events that could spell doom for the entire town.
When this production opened at New York City Center in 2017, it was hailed as “glorious and vehemently alive” by The New York Times, “a tour de force” by Newsday, “exuberant and gorgeously sung” by the New York Daily News and “ravishing and luminous” by Deadline. It was originally presented November 15-19, 2017.
Brigadoon stars Kelli O’Hara, Patrick Wilson and Stephanie J. Block, and features The Encores! Orchestra led by Music Director Rob Berman.

Hngh. Kelli and Patrick singing romantic leads opposite each other is the stuff Broadway fangirl dreams are made of, and the score is SPECTACULAR. But not as spectacular as the chemistry these two have - my GOD. I would've given my right arm to see this live.

Kelli O'Hara is one of the great ladies of musical theatre.

Still one of my all time favorite musicals. We did this show my freshman year of high school, 51 years ago!

This CD is a marvel. As I watched the show, through tears, I prayed for an original cast recording. Thank you, Ghostlight. Not since the Shirley Jones/Jack Cassidy mono recording have we had a totally terrific recording of BRIGADOON.

One of the very best CD Broadway cast recordings ever produced. The voices and orchestrations are sumptuous. I may have to buy another copy before I wear out the present one.

These studio video recordings are buried treasures of Broadway shows. Wish the full sessions were available here. 4:39 is what a real afficiando appreciates (says the pit musician lol). 4:55 why isn't Charlie regimental?!?

I’ve always wondered what the word ‘brigadoon’ meant. It’s a place that is idyllic, unaffected by time, or remote from reality.

Er…Love Brigadoon, I was Charlie Cameron 25 years ago. Fab singing here but….why do they all sound Irish when it’s set in Scotland?

I really like the songs in this production but I can't watch it because I am Scottish and I am constantly cringing. What are Americans thinking and hearing when they do our accent?! hahahhaha

Agreed. I ❤the songs in Brigadoon but as a Scot I find it an incredibly cringey musical. It seems to be really popular in America but the accents are so bad. That said, the singing is amazing.

They only had a total rehearsal period of five days. The accents would have been better with more time.
