So what about some hump on the dorsal. I saw my intraoperative and i had no hump one week later i have a hump. Do you know what causes this and can the shot help it go away?
I did my rhinoplasty 2 months ago, my nose is still big. Can I wait 1 more month before the injection or the earlier the better? Also, is the shot always necessary or it only accelerates the healing process?

That's probably either small amount of cartilage that wasn't cut short enough, or could just be scar tissue. 20 years ago seems like a long time for a shot to work. I'm not a doctor, just had 3 rhinoplasties. My 3rd was doing just that, removing some scar tissue from one side of the tip.

Hi doctor, I was offered cortisone injection to treat collagen overgrowth in my nose and was told it is reasonably safe to use for one time. Can you please advice ? Thank you
You should always touch base with your doctor on what is your best option. We use cortisone shots to reduce post-surgical swelling. We personally have never performed cortisone shots for treating collagen overgrowth.
@@lpaesthetics2057 that answer clearly wasn't helpful at all. Of course everything is based on the individual, but you could've provided a time frame which would've been helpful. I'm sure before your patients receive this injection you give them a point of reference in regards to time frame and what to expect.
I just had a steroid injection today and the doctor that did it said I need a total of 6 steroid injections months down the track, my next one is in 3 months and the doctor said I won’t see a difference only after the third injection this is my case as I have a bigger bulbous tip then this lady in the video 11 months after my surgery. Hope this helps 😊

I’ve had patients who had supra tip fullness and after 2 years the cortisone injections have improved but he did need to have at least 4 over a period of 12 month
My surgeon still hasn’t given me any steroids after 9 1/2 months since surgery. My nose is still huge. The tip is particularly huge. It’s just a mass. He says he might apply them at the 12 month mark. I’m just so confused why I seem to be the only human being on earth who not only has a huge nose this long after surgery but has a surgeon who ISNT treating it

you do kenalog injections on nose done somewhere else i have a thick skin and want to reduce my scar tissue

Hi, I had a rhinoplasty 7 heats ago and It left me with a scar tissue. Is it still posible to get steroïd-injection to solve the problem?
It is possible! The result may not be dramatic as it the scar tissue has had time to settle.

You can get a cortisone shot as soon as 3 weeks post-procedure, but trust what your provider recommends.
