- In IO Interactive's Hitman 3, the final chapter in the world of Assassination trilogy, you return to the shoes of master assassin Agent 47, the apex predator, travelling the world in search of the elusive Providence and searching for the truth behind agent 47's past.
It's no secret I love the Hitman series and Hitman 3 is no exception. This track was a blast to put together, I wanted to go for a more epic, cinematic tone for the song vs The Second's more creeping, ominous vibe, to reflect the larger scale and stakes at play in Hitman 3 and I'm super happy with how it turned out.
I actually had very different plans for the video initially but scheduling meant I had to scale it back to something more similar for the idea for the previous Hitman video. Initially I was not keen on this plan, I wanted to do something different, but after a while I came around to the idea of making a similar video as the previous one to challenge myself and show how my video making has improved. So this is more 'multiple me killing me' but with about 47,000% more complexity and production value! ;)

The biggest feat of Agent 47 that people seem to forget: the fact he always manages to get disguises off henchmen that are exactly his size.

In all fairness; at least when it comes to soldiers; police officers and security officers assigned to guard duty you’d think that those peoples would meet an height standard and as such have gear that fits 47 relatively well

Spectacular dedication from an artist keen on homaging the video game series he was inspired by!
Whereas "The Second" was about how Agent 47 could be *anyone and anywhere*,this one expands on how his actions affect the world as a whole, how the use of his vast arsenal of tools and skill can have an everlasting impact on...pretty much everything. The fact that all lyrics are "emotionless",determined and boppin, at the same time is spectacular o-o
I also love the different scenarios built on the apparently simple "Stupes#(n) is killed by Stupes#(n+1)",not to mention the different costume choices ;)
The segment of NemRaps was fantastic as well,besides great rhymes,lyrics and speedy delivery,it's also an AMAZING blend between singing and performing as the character.
(I also really like how Stupes has a red tie with a dark,cold background and suit whereas Nem has a blue suit in a cosy decor...I just like it X) )
All in all,this magnificent song hits all the marks! It truly does!

Honestly I can't get over how good the parts are where you're in the chair, looking both ominous and almost sad as 47, like you regret what must be done kind of thing. It's so perfect.

1. Masterclass as always with both the tie-ins AND the callbacks, and I love this sort of techno-metal-pop style, it's completely different to The Second yet just as fitting.
2. Nem absolutely NAILED his performance, he was rocking the blue suit as hard as you do 47's too, but I feel lyrically his verse lacked enough of a punch, not sure if it's the delivery or the lyrics themselves but it's only noticeable to me because right up until the end of it his verse is *super* smooth.
3. this REALLY makes me wanna hear a Dishonored 1 and/or 2 rap from you, especially the first verse, that immediately made me think of Dishonored 2.

Your original and remastered hitman songs were always on my top favorite songs of yours but WOW this one just topped them easilly. I'm mind blown. This might even be my favorite song so far, and the visuals are incredible. I love it.
This song really does balance the feeling of both being a powerful assasin that can get to any target and the paranoia of someone on his hitlist, bravo! All of the lines are executed (heh) perfectly, so I keep finding new favourite bars.

Honestly some of the "I see a..." lines gave me a true feeling of a larger than life power, and now I finally get how terrifying 47 is.

1:39 to 1:48, you seem to hand yourself a nice glass of Port here... And I highly doubt you managed to get a body double (if you did, i'm _very_ surprised you managed to find someone so handsome to replicate you!)
So... how did you do it? It's such a seamless piece of work that I genuinely can't tell how you pulled this editing trick off. Your videos tend to be packed with amazing editing and/or animation, but this one in particular catches me off guard.
It is two separate takes. When I hold the tray out as the butler I'm actually placing it on a hidden black platform with exact positioning markers. There are also markers on the tray for exact placement of the glass. Someone else is stood opposite me and lifts the glass on a sound cue.
In the shot where I lift it the tray and drink are already in the exact marked positions where they were when I was 'holding' the tray. So I have two takes where the glass is in the exact same position and is lifted at the exact same times, making them easy(ish) to stitch together. :)

Hitman 2 rap focussed on the ethereal side of Agent 47, making him more than human and something to be feared akin to the grim reaper. Now this song shows he's something more than that, because there is no one who can escape him when his target is set, the whole thing feels like a call to battle as he is on the hunt and setting fire to the fuse to the bomb which will destroy his enemies whole world.

I commented on this video before finishing Hitman 3. I said before it was the music videos on this game that got me invested enough to give Hitman a go. I played Hitman 2016, retraced it's steps and looked into the prior games so when I came to 3 I knew all I needed to and have a celebrity crush on David Bateson. This song hits even harder with me now that I've completed the story, particularly the close of an empire and new architect lines, whilst the hitman 2 rap was an insidious and ghostly whisper most of the time this now has the feel of a fanfare. Hitman 3 for the time being is the last installment in the Hitman franchise and it ended on a spectacularly high note and it's that note this rap captures beautifully and addictively. So much like the game Hitman I'm gonna be playing this over and over again.
