RIP to the original owner, what a privilege to get how he and his family cared for the beautiful. Bob will make sure to finds as good of next owner.
RIP to the car guy who bought and maintained this car. It's always sad when one of us passes.
I try to never be jealous in life. But I’m jealous. I had my first crown Victoria in 1983 and drove many over the years. That’s a beautiful car.
These newer Mercury Grand Marquis' are excellent vehicles to purchase for life.

@@euroasianbob9268 You're welcome.
I saw wizards inspection very nice Panther!!!
This was built in St Thomas, Ontario, Canada. I did a lot of work in the Paint shop programming the robots for these cars. The Ford employee's took amazing pride building them. There were so many variations of such a simple platform. This car in your video I think is better than the Marauder, which I had on pre-order but did not buy as it was not that great a car as it was hyped to be.
Thanks for sharing! The pride shows! The paint is amazing!
The Arizona Beige on my 2003 has held up nicely, thanks a lot. Although, we can't say the same for the white fleet paint used on all the Crown Vic cop cars. Seriously, every single one has the hood, fenders, roof, and trunk peeling and showing primer or bare metal underneath!
As I recall, the Marauder turned out to be a very nice car!
I owned one in Highland Green Metallic. There are no markings anywhere on the car, except the floor mats on the front were embroidered with LSE. They only made 11,021 of these, including only 533 for the 2005 model year. The regional manager told me the reason it was such a slow seller is that most people, when walking into a Lincoln-Mercury showroom, expected to have six passenger capacity.
The dead giveaways that it is a super-rare LSE are the combination of these parts: center console shifter from the Lincoln Continental, rear air suspension from the Lincoln Town Car, the SNOWFLAKE wheels, and dual exhaust. The LSE can be thought of as a predecessor to the Mercury Marauder, but without the quad cam engine and without the boy-racer look. See if the previous owner has the original front floor mats. Even on the dashboard, it will say LS, it never said LSE anywhere, except on the floor mats. Rare! By the way, the SNOWFLAKE wheels should have slightly darker metallic paint on the inside portions. Not all of them were shipped this way, however. The dual exhaust versions of this engine are 220 HP, ten more than the single exhaust version. I changed my alternator in 14 minutes in the parking lot of O’Reilly Auto Parts once.
I've owned three of the panther platforms. The first was a 2000 Grand Marquis, a 2003 Lincoln Town Car, and a 2007 Crown Vic. The Lincoln was my favorite, absolutely beautiful car, it and the Mercury both had true dual exhaust, the Crown Vic had single exhaust. They all rode like a dream, but that Lincoln was a cut above, as it was intended.
I had a 2003 LSE dark aspen green, some guys at work would call me (FIVE OH) as the crown vic patrol cars were the same color. You are not the only one who didn't know these existed, the Ford Dealer I bought it from (used) didn't know it was different than the other 6 he had on the lot. It had 58,000 on it when I bought it, I was the second owner. Mine had an all electronic dash, no analog gauges. The steering wheel was a dark hardwood top section and small mid section on the bottom, with all the controls on it. It came with a 5 disc CD changer in the trunk. It had "Air Ride", softest ride I ever had in a car, you had to be mindful to make sure to switch that off if you needed to jack it up or tell any mechanic to do so as it would risk over inflating and rupture. About 3 weeks after I bought it I was driving on a 3 lane road with a 45 mph limit and a car pulled out in front of me. I pushed down on the gas and it went into passing gear to go around the guy and when it shifted it BARKED the tires. I was like "Who was that" not even believing that it was my car. A few week later I did it again and it dawned on me I was the Hot Rod. I had that car 11 years and loved it, I found a 2007 LS with 48,098 miles on it in 2019 and didn't trade mine in, I couldn't, I loved that car. About a year later I sold it worried about the air ride or something else going out. I can't tell you how many guys I raced, They thought their 6 cylinder monte carlo had a chance, I guess they thought it was a Grandpa car. I had that car up to 118 once, somewhat unintentionally trying to get to a spot on an exit lane, with all kinds of pedal left. My 2007 only has 73,000 on it now and it runs well but nothing like that LSE did. Thanks for letting me relive some great memories.
Great stories! Thanks for sharing!
Bob and Becky are a great couple!
Agree !!!
Too kind 😊
Mike Ehrmantraut would drool over this car!
Hey Bob, this Grand Marquis is spectacular!!! These panther platform vehicles are so quiet & comfortable!!! You've got a real winner here!!! 👍👍🎄
Thanks for watching and commenting!
What a creampuff! These LSE cars are rare birds indeed.
Yes! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Man, what a cool car! In my country (Germany) unfortunately you never see those anywhere as they were never exported to Europe. For me, this is what a proper american car ought to be! These were in countless Hollywood movies back then! Pitty that you don't export them, Bob😊 Cheers, Mate!💪
I have the '04 sport with the typical LSE features; console shift, power pedals, 3.27 rear gear ratio which I changed to 3.72, and the full handling and performance package (HPP) which includes larger sway bars, uprated front springs and struts, uprated shocks in the rear with the factory air suspension, body color door handles, and special wider alloy wheels and tires, and the stock dual exhaust is nearly identical to the LSE (mine is now a Magnaflow custom system).
The 2004 CVPI is the quickest one. I had one, and it embarrassed a few expensive newer vehicles.
Fantastic survivor car, Bob! You find some amazing rides! I like to research heavily myself before buying a car but you are at a different level with your research skills.
The quarters collection we use in Palm Springs for Aldi grocery stores shopping cart. :)
Interesting! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I had a 2002 Crown Vic Sport with a console, was a lovely car this reminds me of that car.
Amazing Vehicle. I found a 97 Crown (👈🏾) Vic. 88k miles, one owner, darn near mint condition! No leaks whatsoever. Everything works as it should. All maintenance records and maintenance was done when it was supposed to be done!! Only aftermarket parts is kenwood radio and speakers. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it, it’s an amazing piece of history for sure

6:13 take care of those original floor mats - it’s the ONLY place that you can see the LSE logo!
Man I remember those times when cars were like cars not all plastic and artificial like today. And the owner was my type of a guy. Nice video, brought back many memories I grew up in cars like these and drove many thousands of miles in these kind of cars. USA and world was different back then.
Grand Marquis LSE was just like the Crown Vic LX Sport. Beefed up suspension, 17 inch wheels, limited slip 3.27 rear, dual exhaust, floor mounted shifter with console and buckets.
There is a great video of a fellow and his dog who took a Crown Vic all the way up to the top of a very difficult precipice at Moab. It's so fun t5o watch. This guy gets a ONE wheel drive vehicle with long overhangs through such satisfying obstacles it's hilarious. He gets to the top where all the serious off road vehicles get to and the look on peoples faces is legendary.
Damn, it's already sold. Someone got a great car there. I'm jealous.
By the way, that Mercury Capri you have is gorgeous! If I was financially able to, I'd jump all over that one, too.
That is a beauty that, if treated properly will last for donkeys years….nice find!👍👍
What a beautiful car! I've always been a fan of the panther platform. Awesome Find Bob!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
It's the Mercury T-Type to the Marauder GN if you get my drift.
Good call! Thanks for watching and commenting!
When you date flashlight batteries. explains everthing.
My thoughts exactly! That’s why I thought it pertinent to include. Insight to the previous owner. Thanks for watching and commenting!
What a gorgeous Mercury!
What a beautiful and rare panther platform vehicle. I have had 4 of them since 1998, and they were all very reliable. I will continue to buy them as long as they are available.
i have the same one but a 2003 with 23,000 miles always garaged, your car is a gem someone will be very lucky!!
GREAT CAR.... The Wizard did a GREAT review - This car needs a GREAT Home - it's worth every penny!!!!
Truly a beautiful car. Worth every dollar you get for it. The person who buys it is getting an amazing car.
The smell is amazing in This jewel! It’s like it literally came off the showroom floor! 🎉
Gorgeous! I like the altimeter lol. Makes driving through the mountains more interesting. Another beautiful find! 👍👍
I love the blues brothers reference every time I say that for a CZcams video nobody ever gets it
We're on a mission from God ma'am
Lol! I haven’t seen it in a long time. I’m ready to watch it again!
@@euroasianbob9268 you need you a bluesmobile there's a truck stop up in Joliet that has one up on a pole. One of my favorite TV icon cars
I had a 2001 MGM LS with the HPP Option for nine years. Same 3 :27 rear axle gearing, front and rear sway bars, special rate rear air springs and same size torque converter size and extra oil cooler. Just didn’t have the bucket seats and floor shifter. I did have the digital dash. Not to mention the lacy spoke wheels that set it off.
I would love to have another Grand Marquis. I got a 1985 at an estate sale, and drove it until the engine gave out. I love them.
Yep..saw the wizard's video on the inspection already.. 🙂
Owned 2001 Crown vic & 2003 Grand Marques
What great cars. I was hoping to buy one in good condition before they stop selling them
Nice new older car the ones like this one I Call a touch of class
Our 9th one, since 1988 is for sale. 06 G Marquis dark blue pearl with tan leather. 115k miles on Mobile One and Wix filters since new. California car with no rust! Beautiful car!
I saw that on the Wizard channel. How much? That is a HIGHWAY cruiser. I just looked on the website. Already SOLD. Somebody got a cream puff. Bob doesn't sell any junk. That car is in nicer shape than my 20k mile 2018 Taurus that has a small oil leak already. My car is a garage queen and it isn't quite this nice
Nice car man. I just subscribed
Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing!
Beautiful Merc!
My MIL has a red 99 Crown Vic HPP with 45k, immaculate shape like this one and she loves it, will not let it go, got offered pretty good money but no way, I have an 05 Signature myself, they are comfortable and reliable!
Sweet car Bob!
It's the Marauder SLEEPER EDITION.
"Does the lighter work?" 😂
Lol. I get it!
I like this kind of stuff. He even folded the tape over so that the labels are easier to remove on the trunk lights. Some people are just this organized. Amazing.
I have a 140K mile version of the same car and almost as clean as this one. Mine is Spruce Metallic green with same color interior. I think the pin stripes are even hand painted as mine do not look like decals. I have very slight cracking on the driver seat that can be repaired and had some common troubles like the adjustable pedals jamming up or the blend door needing to be replaced requiring the dash to be removed. I replaced entire front suspension and steering components so they should be good for the rest of my life being I'm 60. I was shocked at how good the car handled on Angeles Crest Highway where I could easily go 65 in 35 MPH corners and no tire squealing. My suspension airbags were replaced with coils before I purchased the car and I think I will leave that as is.
I have a 2000 Merc GM with the GS trim that was gifted to me 3 years ago. When I took delivery of the car it had 318k miles on it and in damn good condition for the miles ( and same color as in the video). Had to change plugs and fuel filter before moving out of Connecticut to Tennessee. Car runs great and I’ve only put 12k miles on it. Oh and my car was also built in Canada!! And after seeing that LSE model I would love to have one!
Funny… just watched the wizard video
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nice car, nice presentation
Nice car and interesting with the console shifter
Jumped to Bob's website right away and damn it's sold already.
A P71-spec Grand Marquis? Awesome!
You're AWESOME!!!!
You’re too kind! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Only thing that makes it a LSE vs a LS is the floor shifter. I had a 2001 LS equipped with the handling package just like this.
I bought a similar car when I was broke from an estate. I drove the car for 8 years. Well built and quality . Mine had 37,000 miles sold it had 138,000. Very cheap car maintain.
NICE. Thanks
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I’d love to have this!!
I sure hope I can find a MGM just like that one somewhere close to where I live. I love everything about this car! So hard to find cars this mint in B.C. 🇨🇦
That shirt nails it!
"Get the cigarette lighter fixed!" *LOL!*
I did not know that you could get these with a center console and bucket seats! I bought mine Grand Marquis in 2018, it was from the year 2000, light blue with the "Presidential Edition" the interior is dark blue and the car has a dark blue cloth roof. When I got it it had 21000miles and I am the third owner, it now has 40000miles.
“It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks.”
Elwood? Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!
And it is a model built before the cat converter so it will run good on regular gas... What do ya say, is it the new blues mobile?
Are the wheels FoMoCo knockoffs of a BBS product? Nope! Take one off and read the back side: "Cromodora. Made in Italy." What a pleasant shock......
That vehicle is a diamond.
SOLD
Great ride for incoming inlaws in 3/24.

Update!!! We just bought an 89 MGM!
God bless the original owner 🙏
What a amazing mercury marquiz suoer clean rip previous owner who took good care of the car lots of pride

I've had a lot of the panthers. I can say that in decades I've never had any major issues with any. The AC drain especially 03 and below will drain in passenger frame rail and start to rot it. They have drivers door module issues at times and they have a fresh air vent leak. All can be fixed easily and cheaply. They are proven to be reliable. 1 crown Vic has 1 MILLION 17 thousand miles on factory born drivetrain. That's insane. They just go. They're not fast, they're not flashy, but if u love comfort, great ride, easy service cost, cheap parts and long life, u can't ever go wrong with a panther. I'd say they are THE best sedan made since 2000. They are easy on gas if urr easy on the pedal. Let them breathe, delete rear cats, delete air box horn and make the hole bigger than a few inches and run straight air inlet tube and get a Marty tube. Don't flush trans. Just change filter n fluid. Motorcraft parts. It'll last decades. Reason why police ran them for decades. Some still do.
Beautiful car, the spiderweb alloys are the obvious visual cue that this is the LSE, which IMHO is preferable to the Marauder. Great find.
I disagree , I have had both and the Marauder is much faster and handles better . I currently have a 03 Marauder with 31,000 original miles !
Tissot prx love it 👍
😊
dream car for me. ill be in the market in a year or so
Thanks for watching and commenting!
What did it sell for? I have a 2007 Crown Vic PI (all black detective car, I added paddle shifters and a black leather interior out of a Grand Marquis) with 62k and a 2008 silver Town Car with 63k (ALL original with a Seattle Yacht Club decal on the windshield!) so this Grand Marquis with those miles looks kinda sexy to me!
Sold! I can see why
Probably find the key code for the door activation system somewhere as well.
Already have it! Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love this! Is it for sale? Is it still available? What are you asking for it?
It is sold.
Console Shifter, VERY RARE !!! 👍

Cool
I'm on my way...
I have a 2011 crown victoria police interceptor. Most reliable car I have ever had

#FreedomMachine - RediRad approved motoring!
This owner took exceptional care of this car. I try to do the same with mine. I park at the back of lots with my immaculate 2015 Lexus GS350 F Sport. Almost got in a fight a month ago because there were 20 spots open around where I parked and some guy pulled his giant pick up right next to me. I saw him struggling to open his door without hitting my car when I was coming out of the store and chastised him for parking next to me. Told him the only thing that saved him was he made an effort not to hit my car. He walked away. Maybe he'll think twice next time.
I have had similar situations as well. I don’t get it.
I had a well worn 07 Sonata, little Blue. I would park away fom everyone with plenty of spots around me and virtually without fail some idiot would not only park next to me but so close that if I were a jerk I would have dingec their door.
Is this for sale? how much"?, i'm 66 and i own an 08 PI and it's the best car ever.
It's too bad about the console shifter. One of the things I really like about the panther platform is the front bench seat with a column shifter.
Bob. And leads on a 99 olds aurora?
I have a 04 Marauder one owner, garage kept with 9,600 miles, silver. Thinking of putting it on bring a trailer, not sure of the value on these today?
I see you sold it already, do you mind sharing how much you wanted for it?
They started putting the “ precision track” on the dash of all the Grand Marquis starting in 1998. That had to do with the first year being the watts link installed on the rear suspension. All the panther platforms had the watts link installed on them starting in 1998 and up. I have a panther platform collection and oh would I love to put that car in it. I have a 2002 LSE myself but it is a ratty car compared to yours.
you going to put new tires on it?
I wonder what was the price of the car. I don't think they mentioned it.
Did it sell?
What did it sell for?
Sounds like a bidding war coming up.
How much did you sell it for?
Nice car! Lucky you didnt have a blow out on that old rubber! $200 per wheel is not much. I am sure you have sold it already.
