    Jayo Felony is a legend. 1993 is the1st time I heard sherm stick, and I was hooked. Became a hit in the Bay Area and put on repeat while driving through the Bay Area down international Blvd. 😂😂😂

      @@kevinhill1572 Yezzirrr...I remember it like it was yesterday....they debuted Jayo on...I think it was 92.3 The Beat on a Friday night during one of their mix shows. "Loc Is On His Own" hit hard because nobody was spitting just straight "jail" raps back then. Nobody was saying "Loc" in their rhymes back then either (maybe South Central Cartel) but it didn't stand out like with Jayo. And Jayo coming from "Daygo" when everybody else was reppin' South Central, Long Beach, Compton, Watts, and Inglewood made him stand out even more. SoCal knew about South East San Diego, but nobody repped it the way Jayo did. Underrated fa sho....

      I'm glad somebody made this comment before I did it. I'm from the 757 as well (Portsmouth).
      And Jayo was born in Portsmouth in a crazy Heroin infested hood called Lincoln Park (Not In San Diego).
      They tore it down and rebuilt it.....and it's still crazy out there till this day.

  • @linkercasas1004
    @linkercasas1004 Před 3 měsíci +2

    Jayo was so prolific at spitting that he went all in at Jay-Z on the mic with the "True'd up" diss song; he put that diss song out there, wanting ALL the smoke from Jigga. To my knowledge, Jay-Z never fired back. But for Bullet Loco to want to go toe-to-toe with one of the all-time great lyricists --- (one capable of ending an MC's rap reputation) shows how much heavy artillery came out of his lyrics--capable of holding his own with anyone, anywhere, anytime.
    Update: Jay-Z responded to the track with a song called "Murda Murda" featuring Memphis Bleek. The song went pretty hard, and Jay-Z's verse was tight.
    Jayo still got the better of that exchange IMO.
