Sega Saturn Showdown has a great ring to it. That store had a crazy inventory of Saturn games-rare to find Saturn doubles if it isn't a sports game. That was a well-timed pause 😅

I just recently decided the Sega section of my game shelf felt bare & started picking up Saturn games (getting the console this weekend), but a complete collection with today's prices? How can I not be along for the journey you're taking!

I sold off my Saturn collection back in 2022 with some of the biggest holy grails I will have ever owned (i.e., Panzer Dragoon Saga, Magic Knight Rayearth, etc.). I let the bidders set the prices and ...holy shit. Saturn collectors are MOTIVATED. As they should be. I think it was Sega's best console, aside from the Genesis.
Saga is already out of the way? Dang. That's like collecting Sega CD and starting with Snatcher. Here's to ya - btw, your trade strategy worked for me as well - used a bunch of trade to get a Neo Geo Pocket Color.

I love my saturn..i still have my saturn from my childhood with the psuedo staurn cart in addition..im sure you had hella trade ins or a whole loaf of bread for that one (panzer dragon saga)..lol..nice video good brotha!
We shop at some of the same stores so while I'm browsing I usually check the Saturn sections to see if you've hit up the cabinets.

I'm happy with my own Sega Saturn, got mine from a Goodwill in total it was like around $10.00 like years ago. I love Japan's import games and I got pretty good handful of North America Saturn games. Yeah, some of them are getting expensive.

I love my Saturn Collection. It's my favorite collection and I have most of the big ones. My favorites to play were Shining Force III, Dragon Force and Panzer Dragon Saga. Thankfully I bought those when they were out at retail.
I am currently playing Shining force iii as we speak! well not at this exact moment but it's my current playthrough

The most important thing about Saturn collection is getting a Saroo. Ram Cart, Action Replay, and Flash Cart all in one! Plus, Japanese games make saturn collecting way cheaper

I would love to do the same with zero funds. Sega saturn is my childhood.
Personally, I would've called this the Sega Saturn Throwdown in honor of the Segata Sanshiro character but Showdown's good too.
I just got xmen children of the atom. Looking how to get the saturn to play import for xmen vs street fighter and marvel super heroes vs street fighter.
For me the hype is just the value of the games. I will not play games without thumbsticks. Sega don't got em I'll even only play old ps1 games with a barracuda 2
Found it electronics had a lot of hard to find Sega Dreamscast games and my daughter got a couple Pokemon games that were hard to find elsewhere and their prices are reasonable on most games.

Man. Here's the thing. A lot of people don't want to trade a bunch of stuff for $300 worth of store credit. When you are buying Saturn games, that amount of money won't get you any traction.
I disagree. You don’t have to get just Saturn games. If you want something else you can get it or just pay out your pocket. I rather trade in games that I know I can get back for something that I don’t see much of.
