Easy to follow video. Thank you!
You're welcome, thank you for watching :)
Thank you very easy step by step for a in experienced person to do
Thanks very much :)
Great vid. Easy to follow. Now i know how to do this necessary maintenance job myself. Thanks for sharing..🤙😉🚗depressurising the system first was an essential tip.😉
You're very welcome, thanks for watching ! :)

Great video, I had no idea it was so easy
Thanks for watching :)
Does the fuel tank need to be empty or will the depressurisaton means it doesn't matter?
@@geznicks No it doesn't need to be empty. Once the fuel system is depressurised there should be minimal spillage. Some fuel might be still inside the old filter though.
Perfect video, thank you 👍
Thank you ! :)
I used to do this on my Old Primera, same job. Great video.👍
Thanks very much, it's a handy position under the bonnet as opposed to under the car ! :)
👍🏻 Good and helpful video. Thnx.
You're very welcome :)
Great video 👍🏼 I have little problem I can’t find the Fuel filter on my Nissan Micra k12 1.2 petrol 2004 if anyone knows i will appreciate letting me know have good day 🙏🏻
Thanks. I think the fuel filter on the K12 is built into the pump/sender unit that sits into the top of the fuel tank.
@arlindAutos can you find fuel filter location ?
Great video, I have a 2014 Nissan note e12 1.2. I have just serviced it myself and all the parts stores said that the fuel filter doesn’t need changing on the E12.... I suspect the fuel filter is similar to this one. How often should I change it on a petrol car?
Thanks. It's recommended on this car that you change the fuel filter every 40 thousand miles or 4 years (whichever comes first)
Please do pictures where exactly is it? Can't find in k13
The Micra in the video is a K11. The K13 doesn't have a fuel filter like this. The only fuel filter is a small mesh filter connected to the inlet to the electric fuel pump assembly (in the fuel tank). It is never serviced unless the pump has to be replaced.
Is that k11 or k12 ?
This is a K11
I have the same car, but I don't have a filter. Is that reasonable?
The filter could be in the fuel tank on some models
do u take the fuse after u start it ? mine won't start if I remove the fuse
If you take out the fuse and it doesn't start, that's fine, it means there's no fuel pressure. They don't always start when the fuse is removed.
What happens if I change the fuel filter without taking the spark plug out
Do you mean the fuse ?. If you dont depressurize the fuel system, fuel will spray out under pressure when you disconnect the hose from the filter, which could be very dangerous.
What model year is this K11?
Yes it's a K11 2001
@@screwsnutsandbolts thanks. Some things little different than my 1997 model. Will change this filter also on mine soon :) thanks!
March k11 or k12?
This is a K11 Micra
Hi I wonder if u can help . I have an 04 Nissan micra , when driving the other day the engine just cut out but all the electrics were still on radio etc . The brakes were fine eye just no acceleration at all . You stop the car turn the keys off and back on and it will go again . Very wierd ... do u have any ideas ? I was thinking either fuel filter or cam sensor ..... it only started happening once the petrol ran low on red as I wernt able to full up at the time . Plz comment bk
It could be a number of things like a crankshaft angle sensor or mass airflow sensor among other things . You'll probably have to do a diagnostic scan to see what errors show up I'm afraid.
Amy Louise The exact same is happening to me! I called a mechanic and he thought it might be the fuel filter. Did you find out what the problem was? Please reply:)
@@3101AmberCould be fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel lines, air trapped in the fuel system, fault with a sensor (either air sensor, pressure sensor or fuel sensor) or fault with the accelerator line, governor or timing system. Good luck!
Cool John thanks!
where have this filter the nissan micra k13, can you know it?
I think on the K13 the fuel filter is part of the fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump assembly that fits into the top of the fuel tank.
@@screwsnutsandbolts it's necessary to replace or not? I read on internet usually if you replace the level pump you replace both two, every 15k/20k i use an additive bardahl
@@onealericcisan805 I haven't worked on a K13 Micra so I'm not sure, sorry
how to do the k 12
It should be similar on petrol models but I'm not sure exactly where the filter is located.
i need replace fuel fuse for new one? no possible use the old one ?
No you just have to refit the old fuse
@@screwsnutsandbolts thanks i change yesterday ☺️, i try push the tub but cannot go to the end the filter, should be ok if just go inside litle
@@FreitazYT It really needs to go on all the way or it could slip back off. If that happened it could be very dangerous as you could have fuel spraying everywhere.
@@screwsnutsandbolts thank you, i try my max but its very hard to go all, have anything to push easy?
@@FreitazYT If you put the ends of the hose in a cup of hot water for a few minutes and then try and fit them on ?
What does one do if the fuel lines are REALLY tight around the filter tips? I don't want to use heat to expand them..
Try and carefully pry them off the filter using a flat head screwdriver. Put the flat blade between the filter and the end of the hose and twist or lever it a little bit to loosen its grip. Hope that works for you.
Does this apply to a Nissan note aswel?
No I don't think it's the same
@@screwsnutsandbolts need a video on how to replace my Nissan note fuel filter
@@merjamnaftali6237 What year ?, Petrol or diesel ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts 2010 petrol automatic trans
@@merjamnaftali6237 I think the fuel filter in a 2010 petrol Note is in the fuel tank and is part of the pump assembly. I don't think it has to be changed.
Ты фильтр новый не посадил на защёлки. Оно, конечно, и так будет ездить, но если снимаешь видео, то делай уже все до конца.
You started off the video by saying the car will not pass 40 miles an hour and struggle to get there then you just cut the video off if you change the filter what's the point in that video nobody knows if by changing the fuel filter it made a car go faster or not so no I don't know if I need to change my fuel filter or not
What are you talking about ?. I never said that in the video ?
Thank you
