It's sad "The Isle" started all of this many years ago but ended up in ruins all thanks to their devs. I can only be grateful with POT team for keeping there working hard until a big company noticed them. Now people will have that amazing experience of surviving in a dinosaur world by being one of them.

On his site which he should legally be in trouble with because of all the false advertising, he lists numerous things which do NOT exist.
-in depth stat and trait customization. A lie, there's nothing in depth or stat customizing. You pick 1 of 3 traits and unlock a few abilities.
- complex quest system. Really? Picking up 50-200 lychees is complex? I dread what basic is to him.
-guild and migration system. Nope, not a feature or a mechanic.
-200 players servers, also not a thing
- ecosystem filled with creatures and AI Dino's. Another lie. Needs to learn what ecosystem means. Theres basic fish and critters which run in a line. Nothing like ark which is plastered which creatures roaming.
All on his site as selling points.
People need to stop hyping the game up or else new players will be expecting a huge Dino game with a bustling map. In reality its huge barren maps with nothing in it, no AI creatures, its empty.
barely see players and your time is spent picking up fruits and flowers over and over again TO GROW. Yes, you pick flowers and fruit to grow up. And once fully grown nothing changes. You can just fight better basically, but its all dependent on dinosaur and growth state, or if they're in a group. Pointless, boring and it will waste your time. I wasted my money, don't waste yours. Play ark, or primal carnage. Ateast that's silly PvP fun.

I believe the dev team is based in Australia so it’s not too crazy that happened
Meanwhile, the devs could utilize their budget for more meaningful things, like giving unique calls and animations to each playable, or improving their shoddy server/optimization experience, or hiring more devs in order to rework the game's abysmal questing system - but they would rather spend money on marketing instead.
Really highlights their priorities though, doesn't it?
@@alexs29 the devs have already confirmed that almost every sound in this game will be re made at some point, optimization isnt an issue because the game is already extremely optimized, and finally devs are expensive, you have to pay them a livable amount ( atleast 20-30k a year).
@@alexs29 think about it if they have someone who is popular narrative it’s more likely for newer players to buys the game which make more revenue and than they can do even more with this game it’s a whole process they put out more content than the isle has in three years

I have this game n Path of the Titans is def one of the best dinnosaur games ever made
I think this has gotta be the deathblow to The Isle's kingship of the genre. The developers just seem to have lost all enthusiasm. It's disappointing that The Isle, the founder of this genre is falling so far, but if that's how it is then so be it. I'll be playing a lot more BoB and maybe even PoT from now on.
You seem to be quite well acquainted with the genre. Which title do you recommend objectively? I’ve been playing The Isle back in the day but I felt like it was missing something. Did it improve by any chance? How are other games comparing?
@@royalpanda3934 the isle has improved a lot. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. They made an entirely new version of the isle with new maps, dinosaurs, mechanics, sounds and graphics. The version you have been playing is called legacy, and yes they have abandoned it. You can play the new version right now, but you can also wait until they make it the main game. One thing's for sure though, they haven't lost enthusiasm or abandoned the game, quite the opposite and in my opinion, it's 10x better than path of titans.

Also, if theis is a game about being a prehisric creature, i came up with an idea for it years ago, when i was about 16ish.. Drew some dinosaurs and had the buttons and attacks at the side and even had hard easy and normal difficulties (what type of hunter you were desided what mode you played on e.g Herbivour was easy mode)

Ok I understand that people compare this to the isle but both games are both focused on different futures. Path of titans is annoying because of its 0 passive growth on official servers, and tbh the isle just gets hated because the game has very slow updates and minimal progress.

The location is actually called 'Stego mountain'! Its located in the middle-east part of the map. Unfortunately there are no drinkable watersources at Stego Mountain, but that only promotes the players to explore the map!

1. Does this have like objetives or missions? The Isle is REALLY boring by just getting big and surviving.
2. Is this one Free to Play ?

This game has missions but they are so horrendously boring and tedious sitting in the bush waiting to grow in the isle is a far better experience. If you are looking to grow a dino like Trex or spino in this game expect to spend 12+ hours running around and collecting flowers, branches, acorns, and fruits as an apex predator

@@pivotnaza Maybe. I watched a review a few months ago, and it basically said theres nothing to really do outside of collecting flowers and stuff. Like, outside of staying hydrated and whatnot, most of the time he spent just... wandering around, looking at an empty world.

Honestly something as simple as having the map teeming with ai Dino's you can fight and try out different Dino's against since players are rare. It would breathe so much needed life into the game. Imagine ark with nothing in the map and you walk around picking berries n drinking, that's PoT in its current state. I'd re download once the map has AI in it
