The Army's Nike Hercules was normally armed with a W31 nuclear warhead. These were based at sites near coastal U.S. cities for many years.
And overseas into the late 80 's.
Yeah now the army is armed with LGBTQ flags
First shots are at the White Sands Missile Range Museum. The objects have been centralized since this film was shot. Visitors must still get clearance at the guardhouse since the facility is an active military established. The museum is located between Holloman Air Force Base near Alamogordo NM and Las Cruces NM. Plan ahead before stopping as test firings can inhibit museum entry.
The filming rigs are wild !! It would be neat to see more of the filming 🎥 equipment and specs.
I read that during the early days, they actually used captured German anti-aircraft gun mounts to track and film the rockets and missiles.

NASA has / had a lot of amazing rigs around Cape Canaveral. A must-have for any rocketry program. Some way of recording flights.

There is a small museum next to the rocket garden now . They have a V2 painted yellow and black like the test ones inside.

sorry, there was no sound track with the film. Often master films have a separate soundtrack. Film prints generally have the sound composited with picture. Sometimes there is picture, but no track.
