- Stella Grant (Haley Lu Richardson) is every bit a seventeen-year-old: she’s attached to her laptop and loves her best friends. But unlike most teenagers, she spends much of her time living in a hospital as a cystic fibrosis patient. Her life is full of routines, boundaries and self-control -- all of which is put to the test when she meets an impossibly charming fellow CF patient named Will Newman (Cole Sprouse).
There’s an instant flirtation, though restrictions dictate that they must maintain a safe distance between them. As their connection intensifies, so does the temptation to throw the rules out the window and embrace that attraction. Further complicating matters is Will’s potentially dangerous rebellion against his ongoing medical treatment. Stella gradually inspires Will to live life to the fullest, but can she ultimately save the person she loves when even a single touch is off limits?

My schools dance teacher had cystic fibrosis and was put on life support. Sadly, her body wouldn't accept her lungs so they took her off. The fact that she would be in the halls with a huge and beautiful smile on even though she was in horrible pain amazes me. She was amazing and kind and beautiful and talented. R.I.P. Mrs. Hawkins 😢

Me and my younger brother both have CF and have lived together with it for 25 years. We bought a flat together and lived in it for two years, only in March did he decide to go traveling to Canada for a couple of months, he returns this month! We live 'normal lives' and do normal things alongside our regular daily treatments. I feel very lucky to be so well and have a brother who is also well. Thankfully medicines have improved massively over the last 10 years in the UK and 'wonder drugs' have been provided to us. Everyday I feel thankful and blessed that we are both healthy. I hope anyone suffering from CF gets the treatment and medicines they deserve to live a full life!

ZenobiaQueen it’s a progressive lung disease and there is treatments but no cure. If you’re really interesting in seeing the reality of CF, I recommend watch TheFreyLife on CZcams. Mary has CF and her husband Peter is her caretaker and they have an adorable service dog named Oliver. They definitely show the reality of how truly awful CF can be

I wasn’t the only guy in the theater crying...I promise. Haha This movie is awesome and a total tear jerker. I really enjoyed it and I totally recommend taking your significant other to watch it, cause it makes you realize how much just being able to “touch” the one you love means. My wife and I cried and held each other when the credits came. And the family next to us were crying too, they came over to us and held us too. Never seen a movie make the entire audience emotional and cry together.

I watched the movie on a plane when it was nighttime and everyone was supposed to be sleeping. Sobbing and trying not to make a noose during this film is a whole new level. Damn i cried so much i can’t tell you.
