As a human person we can't always "wear our heart on our sleeve." We also have to make "use" of God's creatures through the grace of God. Martin Buber's I-Thou gives good insight on this subject. So essentially the verb, "to love" is God-oriented and the verb to "to use" is Satan-oriented.
