Fun fact: the cast nicknamed this song "You can't stop to breathe" because of the fact they had a difficult time figuring out when to breathe. The only person who didn't struggle with it was Queen Latifah and when they asked her why it was easier for her and she answered, "I'm a rapper."

I not only highly recommend you react to this 2007 movie version of Hairspray starring John Travolta, but also the 2016 live Tv production starring Harvey Fierstein, Kristen Chenneworth, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, etc! It’s we can’t stop the beat is two minutes longer! And gives redemption to Penny’s mom and Amber and Velma!
