I love these Rivs, I wanted one real bad in 1974 but couldn't find one I liked, so I bought a 70 Riviera , but the 70 does not even come close to looking as good as the 68-69
These were the cars to have in those days
I have exactly the same 68 riviera, same colour and upgraded engine, trans etc. Love the car
I love this era for American cars, they are big bold and beautiful. Automotive Art, veryfuturistic looking, like something out of a Sci-Fi movie.
Thanks! We are constantly working on improving our videos.
In the 2nd generation Rivs the 68' was always my favorite, that one here is a good example why. Sure most people would say they all look the same but I see the subtle differences. 68' had a different stance that I notice too. The Grand Prix's were like that from 73-77, although alike in many ways just by looking at the body from the side there were subtle differences. Buicks had the nicest Rallyes too.
I can promise you one fact? These were the Sleeper Cars when I got it in 1978. My little brother was with me when I had put dual 750 Holly double pumpers! We put a mild 3/4 roller tapping performance cam from Iskie! This big girl would bring the Fear of God in you.I had this girl on I26 from Greenville to Asheville at 140 mph! They will fly with the Big Block 430 or 460 it’s been too long to remember. In 1978 at the height of the gas wars I bought her for $600 bucks! It was a dark metallic green with white leather interior. What a beautiful car. I was stupid to sale this car.
mom had a navy blue 1 like this, our ride for many years until it gave up
Bumper damage, hood misaligned.. car has been in a frontal collision... love the design
My Grandfather had a 68 brand new and he died in 1968, my Grandmother thinking it was too much for her took it to a Dodge dealer and traded straight across for a Dart slant 6 with no air, my Dad said the salesmen was very happy.
ok
My dad had a '67 brown with black vinyl top. I hear him talk about it all the time. Unfortunately I was born in 1967 so I don't remember it at all. I'd love to find one and buy it for him !!
This is what I call a street shark. I'll have a nice sound system in that beauty.
I have a black '68 and the color makes the car look awesome.
Much, much improved camera work .. kept it like this. Smooth and very thorough
absolutely beatiful
*Beautiful* *
It's dark green. These look great in black too though!
These cars i love is out of this world. (omg)
Doing fair better every day
great car,i miss mine BAD
-I still like the front ends of the 63-65 Riviera's the best. They would've really looked great on the late 60s models. They should've kept it on until the '73 models, but still love this car.
You are correct, when the video was uploaded, we put '68 by accident. I'll be sure to change that immediately.
GatewayClassicCars I have a 68 grill is different the side markers different and I have crome rockers and bucket seats.
And one year later, it still reads 1968.
69 grille and 68 rear bumper hmm odd.
this car is a 68 with a 69 grill The int and taillights are correct for 68.
yes some times people build with what they have and some time they just don't know
I don't think that the owner was trying to do that.
GatewayClassicCars Umm, this care looks exactly like mine and I have a 1968, so unless there is some sort of conspiracy, the title will show through the vin what year the car is. The seats are exactly like mine. The grille is exactly like mine. Finally, the rocker panels sometimes get taken off due to them getting damaged from an accident or the previous owner removed them to paint the body. Personally, I think the car looks better without them on. It gives the paint depth. This is a nicely restored example. How much did this one end up selling or if you don't mind me asking?
That looks like a super fly detectives car.
This is all about sexuality, masculinity, leather jacket, zippo lighter ,marlboro cigarettes and 70 s good music.
and capitalism
They changed the speed monitor in 68 models because the 67 didn't work right, it would go haywire when you accelerated fast lol.
Music over the exhaust come on !
You are showing a 1969 Buick. The grille, lack of chrome rocker panels, door panels and seats are clearly from a '69. Nice car though!
I'd better check the VIN.
Grill is from a 69 riviera
This is a 69 Riviera or at least the grill is. I had a 68.
how much?
We no longer have this vehicle. Thank you for your interest.
How much?
This car sold, but here is what we have in our inventory now that is similar. Check it out

is it a rebadged Toronado?
Do you have any idea what you asked?
lug nuts are probably the only interchangeable parts between this and Toranado.
68 with a 69 grille. Hmmmm
My first car...tuna boat for sure, but an ok car. Horrible on snow and ice...
