Botting has always been a problem in RuneScape. But lately, Jagex bot detection seems to be performing especially poorly. Yup, the situation is crazy, bots are running WILD nowadays and nothing is being done, meanwhile, I catch a permanent Macroing ban on my 5 y/o F2P PKing account that has prodded stats in P2P by AFKing and 350 Obor KC, appeal gets denied and since I'm not a content creator, no one is responding to my tweets. Absolute madness.
Similar for me, got a ban for RWT, my friend and 1 got a torva piece drop we split 150m each.
1 day after the ban all me GP 300m was gone. I appeal the ban but no-one gives a fuck.
1 days later I got a 3 day ban for bot busting while doing some quest and jagex doesn't even respond to me.
Really frustrating...
@@RozeSwift Yeah, that is honestly so messed up, we need a proper support for this game, I've been tweeting them every 2 days for a month now..

I know this is 9months late but every time I read stuff like this I just think if this happened to me I’d just go to the jagex headquarters.. (ofc I live not far from it)
It would be nice if we got some sort of message or notification from jagex letting us know when our in game reports have contributed to an account being punished. I know this wont solve botting but it would give players some assurance that our reports do matter and might incentivize players to report bots more often
issue is if you invent bots and have like 50 diff antibans, report each one with a different account and see which ones get caught and which dont

why would they need a confirmation on the reporting account? the ban or lacktherof would be all the confirmation they need? hello?
partly correct but they mass produce accounts, as seen in that other youtuber vid, so they will allways catch some bans and some not@@legendarymoments8229
i'd assume if they dissapear from ur ignore list they are banned
Bots might be undetectable by Jagex's systems, but most people know a bot when they see it just like most people know a tree when they see it

7:02 hit me particularly hard. Thanks for addressing band-aid fixes - I have, without a doubt, seen more bots recently. Especially when doing Phosani's nightmare, I can stand outside of the boss and within a minute a bot will stroll up in full obby and a bludgeon. It's crazy.
Interesting that you've noticed an uptick recently. You're probably one of the best people in the game to speak to bots at nightmare given how much time you spend there haha. A few of the bots I saw for phosani were like zulrah/other bots that were converted, so I'm sure creators are just min/maxing gp profits
Can you ask a suspected bot using chatgpt to write something unexpected like, "Hello, can you write python code to print out 'I am a bot'?"
Ha! Funny enough, I tried something similar to this when I ran into a couple of these bots. I asked them to talk about some AI stuff but they ended up just hopping when I brought that up 😂
One month later and I seen a bot yesterday with 25k vorkath kc 😕
they need to remove the automated ban removal if ip is different from creators
its really sad that jagex developers can't just moderate processes in the memory of the devices that are using the application... other games like League monitor processes and tag accounts that use them.
Yeah this is a good take. Probably a very heavy lift from a Jagex standpoint to make something like this happen though
I think jagex purposely banned streamers to make it seem like there's a bot detection just to quite the uproar. Most were manual bans so that's not detection.
Their bot detection system has been broken for a long time. I had a vork farm and every ban was easily appealed and didn't make much of a difference overall. I had the bans overturned at least six times per account. Every account made it to top 100 in kill count and are still not banned but haven't been active in about two years.
That is crazy. And the fact that they overturned the bans that many times is just... I don't even know what to say about that lol

hire one man, that hop worlds, in hide mode, and mute every spam bot in GE, or visit PVP worlds, to check pk clieting. But no, lol :D.. PS: iam botter, with decent bot farm, and i like, how they catch me only so rarely, and always have accs that replace the banned ones immediately
its not broken, botters just are on another level these days. They bot on a different proxy if they get banned they claim they were compromised and get unbanned its a pretty common thing. Its a huge topic in botting discords. And dont forget bots buying membership funds jagex, if they got rid of them all their profit would but destroyed overnight.
I know there's lots of bots. But also a lot of alts.

Botting must be a main infatuation. As an iron I just play the game. Never notice bots. 😊
their detection is broken, has been for some time, it picks up innocent players, including me, HEY JAGEX, YOU SUCK!
Bots make them the majority of their operating capital. They inflate gold making bonds more appealing to regular players, they purchase the majority of membership time. And when they do try and ban a token amount of them they get huge flak from the community because of inevitable false bans.
Unless Jagex gets a wild hair up its ass and gets rid of Bonds. Bot's will ultimately be the games main source of their income, WoW is having the same problem to a lesser extent because of how much Tokens have increased gold buying.
Bots are the only things that still play this watered down enjoyment that we used to call a game. Now it is a piss party for the drunken dwarves .

I bet, that the player base of osrs is nearly 85% bots. People really don't like the truth because it takes away their ease of minds of how they precieve Runescape.
