Great footage and really encouraging while giving the genuine respect to the inherent difficulty of mogul skiing.
The ending brought a little tear to my eye. It was a simpler time... no internet, no helmets, just you and your family asking in your t-shirts.
God...!! 1986 skiing in Taos ski Valley on a warm sunny day in March with the smell of green chile cheese burgers, sun tan lotion and flat beer, awesome moguls and a twenty dollar bill for lift tickets .. Those were the days. Thanks for posting this!!!
Skied there in 1976 with Dr. Al of Al's Run. He was nearing the end but wouldn't quit and used an oxygen tank. Still remember how good the Mayer brothers Jean and Dadu were. I'll never forget Dadu telling me that all his students said their goal was to ski like him. He was insulted; saying nobody ever says to a concert pianist that hey, I want you to teach me to play like you.

I live in Hong Kong and stuck in Canada due to COVID-19 (all flights to Hong Kong are grounded) for nearly half ski season since 2021 November...
Luckly, my ski accumulated mileage in this season is more than all mileages I ever 🎿

Go Donna GO!!! Love Outer Limits! First encounter was a near blizzard day.. lost a ski one bump up.. had to Mountain climb up to get it, had goggles full of snow glasses snow covered and realized the stories of VW busses stacked bumper to bumper on a steep was real.. got my S**t together and did not fall for several more trips down the best trail on Bear mountain...!!

Great video!. A lot of this can still be applied to modern equipment. Just need to add inside ski steering/ edging and increase retraction/extension. Reminds me of mid 80s ski racing, looked liked they were skating through the course stepping the inside ski. Great memories. The new skis are so much better!

a beautiful sight, indeed! the whole family on skis: mama, gracefully leading the bunch, papa, precisely bringing up the rear, with the kids just trying to make it in between ( and hush! don't tell any progressivists: the friggin holy helmets rest in peace .... -;)

The current man-made competition moguls are extremely boring in comparison.
The instructions here still are correct for modern equipment.
