    But you bought it at 450k ,why are you angered by market value of your car

      It's not about appreciation or depreciation. Look, if I sold that car at 500k, I would need 1m to buy a similar car that I do with the current one.
      Fact, people who bought their cars before Dec 2021 are selling them at a higher price than they bought. Market dynamics that beat the logic of depreciation

    2 years plus doing Uber and Mileage is 128k? KSh. 400k was a very good offer for that car.

    I have wasted my bundles here , Kenya we love overpricing cars for nothing , always see ppl selling pickups year of manufacture 199.... for 1M so overrated

      Go but a "new x-japan" then.
      For your info, 88% of x-japan cars arrive with some issues. Sometime its good to buy local used car that has proven the test of reliability

    Bro your logic is not adding up, if you bought the car at 460k what justifies the price jump to 600k? Have you upgraded the car for example installed a brand new zero milage engine or a new gearbox? Or have you done some engine tuning and mods to increase the horse power while reducing fuel use?
    All you have done is put wear and tear into the car over the last 2 years, cars depreciate bro, worse still Nissans are not Toyotas they have poor resale value. 400k is actually a really nice bargain for you, I don't know why you turned down that price. If you ask me I'd give you less maybe even 350k, remember it's the market that decides the value of your car not the feelings you have about your car.

    The buying power/value of 450k a year or two back is equivalent to or more than 550k....my thoughts.

  • @vincej9275
    @vincej9275 Před 3 měsíci

    Cars depreciate the value after using them for sometime due to mileage, year of manufacture and the general condition of that car.

    Vehicles don't appreciate in value
    You bought at 460
    You want to sell at 600 after driving it for two years.

      @@Explore254Discover They do not appreciate in value per se, because no one buys a car to make capital gains, but they are not impervious to time value of money, auto market demand and supply forces, and forex shocks. For example, I bought my car, ex-Japan, in 2021 Dec at 1.4. The same car is now selling at as high as 2.2. If I were to sell it today, two and a half year later, why would I sell it at less than 1.4? It is not that the car has appreciated in value, but its pricing must factor in the all market dynamics. Great, informative content.
