It's cool to see that you get quicker at recognising why things went wrong and where things went wrong. You're deepening your understanding of redstone which makes you more efficient.

As an IT technician, it was really fun to see rekrap learn how binary code works and such.
This whole thing reminded me a lot of assembly language programming
to me this feels very different from assembly, there are no registries/memory, no mov, no default commands like add or sub its closer to logic circuits that you would see in an intro to CS course, especially building your first adder and such fun memories
agreed, but as a coder
@@daniloR_O Yeah computational redstone is basically assembly with blocks lmao

This is actually crazy. So much dedication and determination. Keep it up Rek!
That's why, I love redstone. First, it's really frustrating, but then at the end, it looks really fancy and you feel really proud that you have built this.
This is exactly how I'd put it

In my eyes you could might aswell do it on another game where ppl could actually play it and enjoy it and itd be alot more fun for yourself too.

I love how he builds a whole ass calculator to beat minecraft, and then proceeds to casually zero cycle the ender dragon as if it's nothing.
So he didn't even beat the dragon? Because 0 cycle means he didn't beat it, 1 cycle means he went through the cycle 1 time.

this is such an amazing idea for a video! best minecraft video ive ever seen on youtube! wildly different tactic to beat the game, but also very intertaining as a redstone fan!
Well done! Doing a project like this on your own sounds like a massive learning experience.
The reason why it’s called a ‘bug’ when there’s a problem in a computer was actually because a moth flew in a computer (the ones that are the size of a room) and got smashed stoping something working. So the people who made it had so send someone in to crawl in the computer to figure out what happened.
That's only partially correct. A bug didn't fly into the computer, but got onto the punch cards used for programming at the time. This caused the machine to read a 1 where there should have been a 0, which caused an error.
this was one of the first computers btw
My brain really hurts… 🤯🤨
Erm, actually, it was a butterfly. 🤓☝️

I remember this video coming out and thinking it was super sick, so i took so time ro learn and i now understand this stiff pretty well thanks to matt's LRR series

Not a good idea to use water while doing redstone (I know from experience)

He should've just used other blocks like hay block, bed, slime block, or ender pearls. Or boats.
I was doing one Time a base And when I Mined to the side, an underwater cave came in and destroyed entirely the whole mechanism.
I have attempted logical redstone many times. and speaking with experience, he made it look VERY simple.
ive tried doing math with redstone but i simply dont understand the mechanics of the things that actually do math even though i do understand redstone and ive watched that series by mattbatwings

I’m a freshman in computer engineering, I found this video super interesting! Im taking a course which is an intro to digital logic (among a few other things), and I found it super cool how you basically learned and applied digital logic here. Massive respect for the division, floating point division is a pain (doing one problem takes me like 5 minutes).
This inspires me, I might boot up Minecraft and try designing an ALU (we already designed one for a homework assignment, but it would be fun to implement in Minecraft)

For the question of what videos to make for more frequency, I'll be honest most of the Minecraft creators I know that upload super regularly do SMP videos. For other ideas, maybe there's fun interesting stuff you could do with classic challenge maps (things like skygrid or falling falling) but updated to new versions for new objectives? That could be a good fit for your channel.
You could do collabs w/ other CZcamsrs, challenge videos for example parkour or something, or maybe building videos if that is fun 4 u

Welcome to the coder's daily debugging experience lol. You said you wanted suggestions for future videos so here's one: I beat every Minecraft Mob in 60 seconds. It could include a cool setup of obtaining every mob, bringing them together, and then building a rail cannon for the dragon. Would also have an epic finale
haha now THIS is a fun idea. doesnt sound too hard but when you really think about it, it become a pain in the ass
This is how I feel about coding all the time, debugging all simple mistakes like a typo, real proud of you for figuring this out. I wouldn't have even attempted this!
Honestly, from your request to give you ideas for a short to make Minecraft video, I think I won't 😁😅 because your content is definitely worth the wait. Love your videos, and I never fail to learn something new from your videos
This just shows how many cool things you can do with Minecraft and some of the ways to make it more challenging or more fun
soon rekrap is going to be an expert in every niche
also, as a programmer, I can confirm that 20:50 is very relatable. but it doesn't take 2 hours to add a semicolon
it takes far longer to notice the semicolon
Suggestion: Going through time, getting Minecraft's most broken toolset and armour as possible
I'm not just talking 1.14.2 multiple protection. I know there's a snapshot of 1.4 that lets you enchant literally anything with an anvil, and then some. I assume you'll probably research other ways to obtain enchantments on things you otherwise normally shouldn't have them on, over the course of Minecraft's history, there's been quite a few. I wonder just how many of them there are?
That's actually a really cool idea
@rekrap2
I would much prefer long drawn out interesting videos then ones thrown together in a week so that you could upload more, love the content keep up the good work!

So cool that u went from a noob in redstone to a beast😊
I just finished my first Digital circuits class in uni, and for our main project throughout the term we had to create a circuit for a 7-segment display. We had to create a truth table, Karnaugh maps and boolean equations for each segment that would turn on or off based on 4 inputs. Really cool to see all of that in this video, and also understand it. I also happen to have built the same 7-segment display in Minecraft, although its not as compact.
We also started learning about half adders, full adders, and carry look ahead adders, so all of this was kinda like my ece171 class in minecraft

I'm currently taking Digital Fundamentals in college, after years of experience with low-level programming and computer science. I've tinkered with digital logic before, and I've also watched Ben Eater's videos on low-level computer programming and electrical engineering, and now that I'm studying things like adders, multiplexers, and so on in college I feel like I have a much deeper understanding of redstone circuits and the like. It's so interesting to see all these separate components come together to make a functioning computer. All the gates, adders, and other circuits come together to make this large and complex machine, a sign of incredible work!
Still just as confused about redstone 😂
