She pointed out particularly when I was a teenager and started listening to hip hop music how many songs sampled the beats! 😅 She just passed away in September at 68 years old from heart disease, but I am very grateful that she showed me this beautiful music 😊

Now, 50 years later, some are wives, husbands, parents, grandparents, great grandparents. We have lived from the middle of the 1900's and going on toward a third of the 2000's. We have lost classmates, teachers, friends, parents, siblings, spouses, and even children and grandchildren. This is my favorite soul band of all time next to the spinners. Literally hit after hit with the Isley bros. Music like this use to represent class to me as a kid when my parents played it. Back before blacks claimed soul as black folks music it was just classy music. So many white artist out there with soul, hall&oates,ambrosia,Chicago,dr hook, boz Skaggs, Bobby Caldwell, ace etc. no one compared to the Isley brothers though!
