Awesome... then you are the go-to-guy for my query! I owned a 2015 GS Mini E Rosewood which sounded amazing... well balanced tone... neither bright nor low... just perfect .. so perfect that i couldnt put it down. However, in 2020 i moved back home to Goa India where the climate is partly humid since its close to the coastlines/beach. Due to that the bridge and area around the bridge started to swell. I was advised to use 10 gauge instead of 13s making me lose that original Gs tone...and then they changed the nut so the bridge woukdnt raise nor swell around. So i ended up selling it since i was used to playing only 13s. Now tried the new 2022 Gs Mini E Rosewood, but found that its a bit brighter on the treblish side... playability was good but found couple of spots where the string would buzz ... wasnt that bad... but still didnt find that on my 2015 model...i also noticed that after plugging it in a marshall acoustic, it didnt sound as good as the 2015 model, the new piezos sound too bright being plugged in. Hope to receive your valuable input. Thank a lot in advance.
You may have just scored with that 2015 model with the exact tone woods that were meant for you. Taylor does a fair job at maintaining quality control but I can attest, no matter the guitar, especially acoustics, each individual serial number plays a tad different, due to so many uncontrollably factors. I would keep searching if I were you for that perfect one. What's nice about Sweetwater is that you can pick the individual serial number, with photos to choose from, while shopping online, or over the phone with a sales engineer. I know it's not as nice as holding it in person but their customer service is insanely good and will take care of you 99% of the time. Let me know if you want a connect to Sweetwater, just reach out to me on social media. You might even try out the Little Martin if you aren't finding what you're looking for in a Taylor. I always thought Taylors were a little brighter while Martins tend to have deeper tones. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Just ordered one after watching this! Can't wait to receive mine🥰🥰🥰
That's awesome! Let me know what you think. I love mine and still play it almost everyday 😄
Nice tone that guitar has , you got a really good one!!
Absolutely. I love it!
😁 glad you are enjoying your Taylor:)
Dude I love it!!
I was on the fence over the GS mini's but your video has me on my way to Guitar Center to get one ! 🤟
Rock on! Did you get one already? I might recommend going to Sweetwater instead as I've got a connect there I can hook you up with.
@OrionValencia no , the Guitar Center I went to was sold out and they said they will contact me when they were back in stock . Had the option to put money down and order it but figured I'd shop around in the meantime .
But sure ,if you have their contact info or website I will definately check them out ! Thank you brother
They just came out with a gs mini rosewood plus with a gloss finish
I just saw that! Definitely thinking about getting one
Great timing, I’m about to buy one. Question, does Sweetwater really do the 55 point inspection? That’s awesome QC. I may order from them just because of that.
Yes! I actually used to work in the guitar gallery and was apart of the inspection crew. They're awesome. I recommend you call in and ask for sales engineer Alan Reyes. Tell him Orion sent you. He's a great guy and will hook you up!
Is there a Mini Taylor nylon strings guitar?
Uhh an lefthanded brother🪕
How much was this specific model? If you don’t mind me asking
This specific model is $799 but I have connections that can get you a discount, if needed. Just reach out to me on social media and I can hook you up! Sweetwater is also doing a bogo free with the mahogany and black pickguard. I like the rosewood better as it has a broader range of tones.
@@OrionValencia Great! Thank you so much!
am i the only one who is disaapppointe with my new gs mini? i think the neck is horrendous. its too narrow and so difficult to play
I personally love mine. I like the narrow neck because I have small hands and it's easier for me to play. I can see where it would be difficult for you to play though if you're used to a standard neck.
Just got one
Nice!
9:31 Why? 😳 It has a tuner built in 😳😳😳
Not a huge fan of the built in tuner tbh
@@OrionValencia Well, for the other method you meed skill, so I will use the tuner 😅
