That's close to the process I've used to season all my Yixing clay teapots. I won't use city tap water though, for seasoning or cleaning. I don't want the chlorine tainting the clay. I boil the pot for a half hour and then prime with the chosen tea for one hour on simmer. I leave some of the prime water in the pot overnight, rinse in the morning with purified water, let it dry, and we're good to go.

That's a good point Cole; those that live in places with hard water (especially limestone), should better use filtered water. Thanks for pointing that out!

can i use a cloth/towel instead of a heat resistant mat?

Yes, you can. But use a white cloth to avoid that in discolor at hoch temperature. The discolored tint could affect negatively the pot.

Wir haben einige Videos mit Untertiteln gemacht, aber die automatischen Untertitel von CZcams brauchen Verarbeitung und die Übersetzung auf italienisch und Deutsch nimmt etwa 3-5 Stunden pro Sprache. Dazu, bei den Videos mit Untertiteln, haben nur etwa 5% der Zuschauer die Untertitel benutzt. Daher haben wir damit aufgehört. Die meisten Videos sind auf English, ab und zu auf Deutsch. Bei diesem hatte ich einfach spass es in 3 Sprachen zu halten, da der Text nicht sehr lange war.
