As the nation continues the ‘Pagbibigay Dangal: A Heroes’ Welcome Celebration for the Philippines’ Paris 2024 Olympians,’ President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. honors the exemplary performance of the remaining Filipino athletes who participated in the Olympics during a meet and greet at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace on August 22, 2024.
The rest of the Filipino Olympians receiving the Presidential Citation and other incentives are Dottie Ardina (Golf), Aleah Cruz Finnegan (Gymnastics), Emma Malabuyo (Gymnastics), Levi Ruivivar (Gymnastics) and Bianca Pagdanganan (Golf).
With 22 athletes competing in nine (9) different sports, the Philippines made a historic victory at the Paris 2024 Olympics after snatching two (2) golds and two (2) bronzes in gymnastics and boxing, respectively. This put the country in 37th place overall in the medal tally.

Just hope that the government would provide greater financial assistance to our dear athletes, as well as nice uniforms and medical benefits, in contrast to other nations who completely support their athletes. This will inspire other young people to participate in sports other than drinking, drugs, etc.

Kaso yung fiscal space ng gobyerno ay lumiliit dahil sa inutang ng dating admin. Kaya lumiliit yung budget for spending lalo na sa social services dahil sa pagbabayad ng utang.
I think mas nabibigyan ng news minutes ang pilipinas ngayon dahil sa incentives na natatanggap nila. Although mas kailangan talaga ang support sa training kesa naman after na nung manalo.
Tama ka@@teretch32 Kaya need na talaga iopen up ang economy (60/40 restriction) ng Pilipinas sa negosyo para malakas ang ekonomiya ng bansa. May pang pondo sa mga programa gaya nito.
Sure ako yan na ang tinanong ng Pres sa kanila..di ba sabi tatanungin nya kung ano pa need ng atleta sa kanilang training.
I love now president Marcos is always looking at the athletes eyes and shows he really cares.
