Ester van Valkenburg The Netherlands entry was better performed. BUT the song itself is generic and bland, like the rest of eurovision. Which is fine, its what you expect from eurovision. But Soldi almost felt like it shouldn’t be in eurovision, because its of a higher quality.

Hi, I'm an Italian girl and I saw many comments from foreign people who obviously don't understand the song and therefore can't understand the deep meaning so I chose to write it in English. The song of Mahmood tells his sad story of the father who left him and his mother to make a good life in Egypt and now the same father wants to reconnect with the rest of the family just for money. In general I think that his victory has been well deserved, the song and the rhythm included melody are very original and the deep meaning is amazing.
