runnin' up tha budget well that's cause those bands both are pop punky. Well not weezer really. Weezer was just kinda pop punky. They leaned more to rock. Kinda a mix. But this is a tiny bit different than most pop punk bands out there. Especially in this song you can hear the metal influence. Which is probably the main appeal to Erik and the band.
Sleepless they come from emo and hardcore, that's why they sound like that

This song changed the game and will forever be legendary. Now they play high pitched monotone simple drumming power indie pop. They literally had so much power in their hands to continue the pop punk emo scene. It’s sad honestly

God this is so much better than their new stuff. I saw them live around this time and they were awesome. I saw them next tour and they had cut down to a 3 piece live, and the new stuff and their energy just fucking sucked. RIP REMO DRIVE. Greatest Hits was a goddamn prophecy.

Had an EP produced by the singer sometime just before this came out. Regardless of anything else, himself and that session taught me humility and the importance of humbleness faster than anything else. It also taught me the importance of partnership and communication in music, in general.
Just something I like to remember when things get weird sometimes. And maybe, this will make sense to someone in the way I hope it will. Anyway, miss when this was brand new. Simpler times.
