- This is an extended version I made of Missing You by Soul II Soul, which came out on Monday May 21st, 1990. Missing You is from Soul II Soul's album entitled, " Vol. II: 1990 - A New Decade. Soul II Soul is a Music Project from the United Kingdom of Great Britain. They do Neo Soul, Soul, Rap, R&B, some Jazz, and some Reggae. They are known for a string of hits, including "Keep On Movin'", "FairPlay", "Back to Life", "A Dream's A Dream", "Get A Life", "People" and of course, "Missing You"!

Not at all. My vinyl copy of this bangs it's just a different version of the song without the heavy bass drop on the second verse. Believe me when I got this from the record pool back in the day I was upset because it wasn't an extention of the video cut!!!!!

@@thegoose2724 My vinyl copy sounds like this - same speed too as my Sansui turntable only has 33rpm and 45rpm settings and no tempo (speed) control to modulate between those two settings. This version here - was extended, otherwise it would be exactly the same. Still it's a great song! That whole album was great!

Now that I read your comment I can guess what happened here. My copies are "White Label" dj promotional edit that was passed out to industry folks a few months before it hit airwaves. Alot of times record companies will send out horrible industry copies and correct the issues on the consumer pressing and vice versa. So this time it worked in our favor and they probably tuned it down for the sales copies. The last I played that record has to be at least 12 years ago. I will rummage through and find my copies and listen to it through headphones and I'm willing to bet that the bottom is probably a little muffled hence why they tuned it down for sales!!!!
