Fraser Health adds Indigenous-inspired menu items for National Indigenous Peoples Day

  • Chef Steven Courtney, culinary food services lead at Fraser Health, whips up an Indigenous-inspired meal of baked bannock topped with a salmon and zucchini relish salad and a side of three sisters soup.
    The new menu has been created in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day. Chef Steven was joined in the kitchen by Carol Peters, Indigenous Health liaison social worker, where they tested the new recipes.
    The meal will be available to patients on June 21, 2024, at several hospitals and care centres around the Fraser Health Region.
