- Once labeled as the world’s loneliest elephant, Kaavan has settled well in his own forest home within the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary.

Finding a home with comfort is always bliss...
I’m so happy for him!! He is now where he belongs! I would love to be able to hug him!! I cried when I watched him chained, especially when his mate lay dead from neglect. How anyone could abuse such a beautiful, intelligent being makes me see red.

@@afrogirl757 thank you for the info but for people like me who are not on fb or insta it's quite difficult finding info. Just short videos like this. But am just So happy Kavaan is happy now. I'm from Africa so I'm familiar with elephants. My favourite thing is to see them playing in water. Wonderful creatures!🐘❤

Kavaan is now the king of the forest in which he lives.
Ib nature a mature bull elephant is kicked out of the family group upon reaching sexual maturity ,and become loners , it's natural . Secondly he has been alone for most of his adult life, so bringing in any other elephants might be dangerous . Thirdly he is able to.see and smell. And touch others through the barrier .
I have signed the petition about the animal cruelty in china.. by making little keychain charms with those little poor animals in them!
It's too bad Kaavan could not return to Sri Lanka. As long as he is happy and well taken care of.

Why is Kaavan still all alone?He needs a mate or the company of other elephants to be happy,after all he lived a very lonely life in the zoo.
He is exposed to other elephants frequently. When you have lived alone most of your life, suddenly in your old age it becomes difficult to enjoy company

Kaavan is not alone. He has his friends Di Ploh and others, whom he meets frequently.
Please note: these are rescued elephants who have lived most of their lives alone, so now they can't naturally start living in a herd..
They are happy in their current lives and we should be happy for them without expecting them to behave like wild elephants
